I was able to get some 3rd Person footage of the longbow from the side. I really like how its turned out. Thank You Fluid1C3 for demonstrating the longbow. Please Enjoy
Hey guys, sorry I didn't catch up yesterday I have been busier than normal. I did get some time before I racked out last night to run around with your new version and so far I am enjoying it quite a bit. I put it through a quick mod compatibility torture test with over 80+ mods and surprisingly I found very few issues whatsoever. There were a few hiccups, mostly model related however even Battlegear managed to work alright minus one placing issue on the shields. I will give you a rundown when I actually get a minute to breath, hopefully tomorrow. Also An_Sar I am parsing through Magnum Opus as well in the same situation, just need to give it a more thorough go through before I can comment honestly. That said I am enjoying what I have tested thus far on both fronts.

That's good to hear. Hopefully i get a chance to work out the shield switching bugs tomorrow. As well as an arrow bug An_Sar found

Beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. I was slightly put off by some of the renders when I first took a look, but all in all, this is a mod that I look forward to using in a more Medieval style modpack.
I had found a similar mod back in 1.4.7, but it just didn't work nearly as well as this one. Awesome job.
I like the idea of a more realistically way of smithing things, although the problem im having with this mod is the models that it uses. they sort of take the whole minecraft feel away when you look at them.
I have thought about this as well. The models like the forge hammer, crucibles and ingots are good. But certain weapons could b tuned down. Are all the models a turn off for u?
the weapons, shield and the erm.. kettles? well the containers that the liquid metals are melted in, shown in one of the screenshots where the player holds it with the thongs.
What i'll eventually do is add a config option for low-res and hi-res. The low-res will help to keep the game Minecrafty and those who want the hi-res can keep the current resolutions.
Currently Outlining armor construction process. Armor bonuses per type. Evaluating adding Custom Enchantments or not.
- Recently I added new in world crafting for the longbow. Video coming later. - Significant Code Optimization - Hot Ingots will now cool down if they are not sitting on a heated forge.
- Longbow Arrows don't timeout
I have been working on a big update lately. Wood Working and Leather Working have been added to ForgeCraft now. Here are two videos Highlighting each process and all the other extra updates.
I will very soon begin updating to 1.8 Hopefully this 1.7 push will be stable enough to move on with my 1.8 update. However, like always if you find any bugs please report them using the issue tracker or TeamSpeak and I will do my best to take care of it in a timely manner. If you have anything to suggest please simply leave a comment on this forum page.
Really well done! Looking forward to getting this on my server.
Is it server compatible?
I know you are going to move onto 1.8, but I hope you will continue to update 1.7.10 for a long time alongside 1.8 because by in large that is where the community is at right now. I speak for myself, but I don't plan to move to 1.8 until there is a 1.9! I think its best to always stay one version behind for modded minecraft play.
Thats just me. Please don't stop working on 1.7.10 yet!

yes, its server compatible (as far as I've tested =p) I should def try to match the 1.8 and 1.7.10 content as best as I can. If i find a good way to manage converting my models between 1.7.10 and 1.8 then it wouldn't be a problem. I may get 1.8.* to where 1.7.10 is currently and add content to 1.7.10 first then follow it up on to 1.8
Please Enjoy!
