This mod for 1.4.6 does spawn you randomly in X and Z coordinates -500 to 500 instead of your fixed spawn point. Beds are disabled. This mechanic shall make the game harder and create an incentive to build some outposts in your world.
It's considered WIP because you can spawn in water and can kill yourself to respawn until you have a spawn point you like.
Eh, it seems decent, but why use a version like 1.4.6? That's way extient, even more so than 1.6.4. You should port this mod to 1.7.10.

I have included the source code. You can do with the mod everything Mojang allows.
I have the idea from http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/mapping-and-modding/minecraft-mods/1272992-better-than-wolves-now-with-blunt-force-trauma. It's called "Hardcore Spawning" there.
