Additional Fauna is a simple mod for 1.7.10 that intends to add a host of new fauna to the game. This influx of new creatures is meant to 'spice up' day-to-day interactions with passive and hostile mobs in a single-player environment. By version 1.0 I plan to have a passable mod that functions without bugs and features four animated, useful, well-done creatures. These such intended creatures are:
Buffalos - a passive species that graze in Savannah and Plains biomes. When hit they attack.
Black-Bears - hostile to all and exist in flower-forests and mega taigas.
Stags - passive, magestic creatures that roam plains and mega taigas. When hit they remain passive.
Reindeer - passive, thrive in snowy areas such as Cold Taiga and Ice Plains.
My Models: I create and texture all my models myself using Techne. There are guides available on youtube and other sites that detail and instruct on how to use Techne.
Planned additions: Drops are a planned addition though the task of animating, texturing, coding, creating four uniquely different mods with functions similar to vanilla (spawn eggs, biome specific spawning, etc) is a tough enough task for a newbie modder.
Planned release: As a man with a full-time job, family and other responsibilities the pace at which this mod will be developed may differ, falter, slow and stop at some times. Though I do intend to release this mod within a month I do not find it very likely.
It looks like the Bison has been released here. I really like your style and the idea of adding simple normal mobs to the world. I don't know if you're planning on completing these, but if so, I really look forward to it!
