Amazing mod! This is even better ( in my opinion then the normal Backpacks mod. Love the tanks feature, and the hose. The sleeping bag is awesome, and it's so cool how you can place it down or wear it. My only suggestions are making a new armor slot for the backpack ( which it looks like your doing ) and hopefully more inventory space ( doesnt have to be too big, maybe the size of half of a small chest? ). Anyways, great mod! Too bad there's no 1.6.4 version, cause I would definitely use it then. Not asking for an update though.
I only just found this mod and it's awesome. Good luck on your new life. I hope everything works out for you. Get things in order first then if any updates come they come. Life and happiness is first. Thank you for all the hard work that went into the mod.
don't know if anyone has already said this but there should so be a backpack backpack. to hold other backpacks. you know you might want to have more than just one of these on you at a time so a storage sort of bckpack to hold the other packs would be pretty useful i think

Update time!
I'm still alive! Thank you all for the kind words, it makes me very warm and fuzzy inside that you guys are liking the mod. As of now, I can't write any code due to hardware limitations (being that i don't have any hardware at all). I'm working on that.
Yes, I'm planning to increase the size of the backpack. It will be somewhere from 12 to half a chest of size (plus the two special tool slots). No more.
I might (might!) add a weapon slot so you can switch swords/bows/weapons in general.
No, I can't downgrade because I'm using very specific things in the new forge that aren't available in older versions. Also, it is a lot of work I don't really want to do. I tried making this mod last year for 1.6.4 and it wasn't until forge updated that I could use the new stuff. It was frustrating. Sorry for that, folks.
A furnace backpack was an idea I had at the very beggining, but I don't really want to do that. The backpack already saves you 8 buckets, a bed, two tools and some inventory space (soon it will be more). I feel like making a "Do it all" block is against the Great Spirit of the Universe. I might add a furnace-type-thingy later on though. Just after I make a backpack-only slot so you can use your own armor AND the backpack.
Before you ask, backpacks will not be enchantable. Again, a super-item is not the idea with this.
I guess that's all. I hope you are having fun, new content soon!*

So you aren't planning to downgrade it, but if you were to install it in 1.7.2, would it work? I've seen plenty of 1.7.10 mods that also work in 1.7.2

Amazing mod. Totally replacing all backpack mods with this when the dust from the bugs and glitches settle. Tested it for an hour, haven't found an issue with it yet, and I'm running 150 mods along with it. I'll let you know if I find anything broken.
I don't know if this has been mentioned yet, but when I exit first person with F5 and take a look at my character the backpack...doesn't...stay. On my back, I mean. It basically acts like a compass needle, keeps pointing in whatever direction it was pointing in when I put that baby on. Also, you may want to look at the Baubles mod, make it compatible with that. It may make integrating this thing with armor a bit easier.
EXCELLENT mod otherwise, incredibly useful. Can't wait for the inventory increase.

In other news, version 0.6.6d is up now, both in curse and github.
It fixes the bookshelf backpack not having its usual awesomeness. It was a simple change so I could make it out of magical thin air and unicorn poop.
Have fun!
cause I have 1 ^^
