Hello everyone,
I'm making a small new mod called Coordinate Notation. It basically allows you to save coordinates of the block your player's looking at using a keyword, and then you can use that keyword to retrieve block coordinates in commands and the chat window.
For example, if I use:
/rem myPotatoChest
It will save the coordinates of the block I'm looking at with the keyword "myPotatoChest".
I can then use a command, something like:
/setblock $myPotatoChest stone
which the game will read as:
/setblock 1 2 3 stone
This also works in the chat! Using:
Hey everyone, I stored my precious baked potatoes at coordinates $myPotatoChest.
will display:
Hey everyone, I stored my precious baked potatoes at coordinates 1 2 3.
Anyway, I hope you like the idea behind this mod! I got tired of writing down coordinates for commands, so I thought this would be a good alterrnative.
The download will be up in one or two days, right after I convert it from a Bukkit plugin to a Forge mod.
This will be pretty useful for when you want to make a command block that teleports players to a certain block.
