I have an idea, you could try to add some uncraftable objects, some kind of ancient an powerfull relics, that you can only find in dungeons chests or by trading them whit a villager.

I have an idea, you could try to add some uncraftable objects, some kind of ancient an powerfull relics, that you can only find in dungeons chests or by trading them whit a villager.
This seems like a nice idea however as is, it is a bit generic. I believe it would be an interesting idea to add items, or parts of items (like a recipe in an specific infusion) to the dungeons and villagers, then by using that item, or researching it, you will be able to gain access to that research. For example finding a hilt piece for a special sword could unlock research for that sword thus allowing you to see what the sword does, and the other parts needed.

You coul find some pieces of those "thaumic masks" in form of dungeon loot or by trading whit villagers, that you can craft together to make a mask, and different pieces would give the mask different abilities. Later on the line of the research (as lategame content) you could add a recipe for those pieces.

Yes, I am still working on this mod. I had a rather rocky start to the project however I think everything is sorted out now. I have been thinking about transferring a lot of the ideas and concepts from this mod into another mod idea I have been messing around with. This other mod idea is primarily based on Baubles and is less Thaumcraft Oriented, although it will still work with Thaumcraft to add new content.
No, this mod is not dead. It's just not getting enough love right now. I develop a lot of mods, so it can be hard to launch new ones, especially when they have lots of content.
o.k this mod looks as if it might never be developed but it sounds so cool! plus the masks might be the best bet at adding in something like the mask of cruelty...
