Okay, that narrows it down. There are two main possibilities:
1. You have memory/disk issues, and need to run the Defragmenter and Disk Cleanup.
2. It's just taking a while to load. (It shows a black screen for ~40 seconds when I start it up).
Along with:
3. 1.7.10 Forge didn't initialize properly for some Java-like reason.
4. Some form of virus protection software is preventing it. (Norton and Kaspersky are the worst).
Go into the launcher settings, and change the "Launcher Visibility" setting to "Keep the launcher open".
Load up 1.7.10 (Forge), and keep it open for 5 minutes. (No, you don't have to stare at the launcher; just browse the web or something).
PM me what is in the console.
Just saw the Mod review by Logotzip. This is actually what we are attempting to do with our mod, making minecraft harder to play, promote and reward exploration and such like that. One part of it that we are nearly completed with is the Grindstone:
The Grindstone takes items such as Blazerods, Bonemeal and the like and nullifies their original crafting recipes meaning that you cannot craft these things. Instead you have to create the Grindstone and Gears and grind the materials that way. Flint can be turned into gunpowder, Wheat can be turned into flour which can be cooked via the Furnace into one bread trippling your yield, Bones, Flowers all of that can be ground. It can also Grind Cobble or Stone into Gravel into Sand. The mod will eventually also keep Sheep from retaining the color wool they were dyed. Instead they have to be redyed everytime which promotes multi colonialization of biomes meaning you have a base in a flower forest to keep a stock up of dyes. That is just the tip of the ice burge though. I thought it might work hand in hand with your mod.

I considered adding a grindstone. It looked like a good alternative for getting gravel from cobblestone, but I found it was straying too far from vanilla, and almost putting the mod as a "tech" mod. BetterBeginnings is not a tech mod, and I am trying to make sure it is not. Another reason we scrapped the grindstone was because it was too similar to what was implemented in many other mods, such as TE4, IC2, and AE2. Perhaps other features of your mod are of interest?
Vanilla sheep retain their color after sheared, it's quite fun to watch.
I don't have a console right now, so it won't be a problem for me, also since einsteinsci has started school, progress has slowed, along with the fact that I have been sick for the past 3 days, it has come to a slow crawl. However, we will still work to keep this mod updated, and bug free.
I seem to recall that Chisel is a bit odd with its blocks. For instance, even chiselled planks take a pick to break, ordinarily. I don't think that it correctly declares what tools are to be used. I also remember a similar problem with Witchery, where certain trees won't recognize Tinkerer's Construct axes as a valid tool.
Logdotzip's spotlight is a bit outdated, and very buggy. If I can get my mic to work without being filled with fuzziness, I'll upload an up-to-date tutorial in a bit.
While we are not currently ready to add more items yet, there will likely be more added along the road. Right now, we're trying to focus on compatibility and bugfixes.
At this moment, I am currently making wiki.iliminate.com so that we can have an actual wiki for this mod! If you want, we will need someone to author the wiki.
yes i did

Please read THIS before making a suggestion

And support the ability to add paintings and records!

Destiny? Not sure what you mean.
That new game from Bungie that everyone is drooling over. Glad to hear it won't be a problem.
No Error, just "Wrong Tool!", Version: betterbeginnings-MC1.7.10-b0.8.4 and Chisel-1.7.10-1.5.6b
Does this apply to other blocks from Chisel, or just clear stone. Does this apply to blocks from other mods?
Clearstone get my the wrong tool message.
After that i removed all mods except better beginnings and chisle, the problem is still there.
If i only remove chisle my whoul pack and better beginnings works just fine.
First the Flint Hatchet works fine.
I can't mine clearstone and each block from chisle no matter if i use a bone or a vanilla pickaxe -> wrong tool.
Every other block from any other mod i've tested has worked.
Thanks! Glad you liked it!

Industrial Craft looks alot like Thermal Expansion
Plus it's actually compatible with other mods
Kill two stones with one bird whenever possible
