Just off the top of my head? I haven't tested enough to have enough bugs that come to my mind.
Though, I saw that my world was broken after running with this mod with a deep hole in the ground, caused by an IC2 nuclear explosion.
Also, same thing, if you ask the mod to displace gigantic quantities of water, there will be a display issue, (caused by Minecraft itself I believe), and the chunks that were not updated really soon will appear as if the mod hadn't worked, although it did. http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/mapping-and-modding/minecraft-mods/wip-mods/2158282-realistic-fluids-overhaul-finite-water-and-stuff?page=15
See here for some pictures. It's in a post of mine, in the middle of the page.
okay, for the broken world etc, that is not caused by this mod, but by IC2, because it adds new ores etc.
known issues with 1.7.10 version of Realistic Fluids:
-water flows through edges, because it can flow in 8 directions
-rain only fills up oceans and rivers: no rainpuddles
-water does not flow through non-full blocks (fences, open doors)
Hey, i just read every single post on this thread to get a feel for the content. and a few of you, the op included, have gone way over my head with all the technical babble. XD i could understand it and follow, but i dont have the xp to perform my own trials. and to 4HeadTiger and CosmicDan, you two have my respect for your dedication to mods. while i am thiniking about it, is there a thread for your astral body-themed mod? or is it just some private project?

I would not bet on that, sir. The issue was caused by a lighting issue, so that has nothing to do with IC2.
Also, for Balrog_Mathias: I think that this mod is only a private project for now.
Though, that interests me a lot to know when/if it will be released. =)

I'm French so English is not my native language. Please correct me when I make a mistake and don't worry for me, it will be even better. Thanks in advance! =) Current number of corrected posts/things: 7
It wouldn't crash, the Forge/Minecraft (I don't know) engine would notify you that there are unknown blocks, and ask you if the engine should continue loading, which would mean destroy the blocks and replace them by air, or if you prefer to quit the map before loading and play another map, or quit the game to update your mods.

hmmm... maybe they changed that by now. that happened a few years ago on MC1.5.x
@4HeadTiger: I too am eager to find out more about your "astral body mod".

"It wouldn't crash" (maybe it was just a typo)
I can speak a little French, so i know that English, German and French have some grammar in common, but also a lot of different rules, as they influenced eachother through the centuries.
Yep, it was a typo. But you'll still get a point for that. Thanks for telling me. =)

Astral body mod? As in astral projection? That sounds cool. Wouldn't it basically just be random Spectator Mode while sleeping though, that doesn't seem too hard to make.

Timeless Modding is kinda dead but idk what to put here now
Hey! I've been playing the mod for a few weeks now, and I have to say that I am astounded at how well it works. One problem that I think I am running into is that, because of the way the scheduling works for water updates in this mod, the function of chunk loaders is being overwritten. This means that my far away machines (for me these are water pumps and railcraft trains) are not working, even though the chunk loader is active. Is there something I can do about this, or will it be addressed later? Cheers!

No, it means astronomical bodies such as the sun, moon and possibly others, running in physical orbits. Its on one of the other pages.
When I first got the mod the thing that I wanted to build the most with it was aqueducts, but I see now that because of the way the near/far scheduling works that it really isn't practical for high-flow applications. One idea I had that might be a simple fix for this would be to label any chunks that are force-loaded by chunk loaders as 'near' chunks so they can update rapidly. If something like this were implemented I could finally have my massive aqueduct running full tilt.
The first thing I wanted to do is blow up some nuke under the sea and watch as the water fills it up. =D

How does this mod act with other mods that include things such as pumps? For example, if I place a build craft pump over the ocean and start it pumping, will it still be able to function?
I'm sorry if this has been mentioned before, but I couldn't find any references to this potential problem.
Yes it will, but pumps will only suck up full blocks. As well, do not build systems which rely on water flowing to the pump if the pump is not at your home base, because distant chunks will not update their water levels. Buildcraft pumps are perfect, IC2 pumps not so much.
I am soooo thoroughly EXCITED about this mod. Group of friends and I are DEFINITELY working it into our current modpack.
There was one OLD feature of finite water that we are desperate to see, the rain generating minor "puddles" that FLOW across the hills into the valleys etc.
This will help to fill various things like reservoirs, lakes, beaches that get "pumped" and used...
As a "safety" if the fluids hit an OCEAN biome, they will not fill above the vanilla water line I.E. not "flood the world" and in lieu of getting blocked, they could be deleted.
Thoughts?
edit:
saw its on your list of "to do" already... Thanks! .... nudge nudge for an update just for the environment additions so we can have a new cookie to chew on.

Is there hope of showing some love towards the streams mod's blocks? They kinda instant fall/merge with the water under them, and instantly drop/flow into the lower areas... I feel the environment (rain) will help this dramatically and help balance it better for the most part.
That seems sweet! I would really love to see a compatibility between the two mods. I actually discussed something similar some time ago. =)

i would also love to see some compatibility somehow keep the streams and rivers have an infinite source so they don't dry up, and then have the effects of the fluids mod, if possible maybe get some config settings for different stuff.
Come on.. Don't ask for release dates, coders also have a life, and they code only when they want to..
It is as if you asked an artist when he will be done with some of his art. He will either tell you:
-I'm working on that, and since you paid me, I think I will be done in 3 weeks
-Well, I did not feel much into doing it, I might find out how to make it better tomorrow.
Though, if it is the first answer, then he'll have to force himself (therefore he's paid). I don't believe 4HeadTiger is paid for now, and coding is a hobby for him.
By the way, warcraft220 does your pseudonym have anything to do with the game?

I love the idea of this mod, However are there any plans to make it work with rivers??i have another mod ( http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/mapping-and-modding/minecraft-mods/2346379-streams-real-flowing-rivers ) for streams and rivers that works very well but realistic fluids mods ens up destroying any flowing river or stream and draining it.
Servers I run Minecraft 1.7.10 Modded, Minecraft 1.8.x
