I'd rather not separate chest from shoulders at this point in time for multiple reasons. 1. that's another piece of data to store for every set we have. It could limit the amount of unique 'themed' sets we could have (for now on the safe side). 2. Shoulders stand out a lot as you can put alot of creativity into it, the chest, I cant really imagine personally anything other than a box on its own + gloves?
At any rate with these in mind, it can still be done code wise, even if it is later on in the mod development (basically I would just load in the relevant armour geometries as a separate model file for each piece from the full armour set model ).
tldr: Model the entire armour set as one, I will rip the model into multiple model files for loading as separate pieces. For now shoulders and chest should be as one but could easily be changed in future if performance is fine.
I haven't Seen anything new posted in a while. So I thought I might just post something. I wanted to ask it there was an eta yet? Feel free not to answer if you wish. I want to try and stay up to date with whats happening.
