Working on the reported bugfixes, I expect to get a new beta build released later tonight. Forge and Thaumcraft dependencies have been updated to the latest, and AE dependency to rv2-beta-18.
For some reason, when testing out version 0.8.9.1b-rv2, each drive will only accept 1 type of essentia at a time. If I try to drop another jar on an import it won't go in until I take the pre-existing essentia out of the drive first.

I can't replicate this behavior in my testing environment. Does this occur on previously used cell, or newly crafted cells?
If they are previously used, what I recommend trying is to remove all essentia from the cell and remove the storage component. While holding the empty cell, sneak and rightclick to dismantle it. Then in a crafting table, reassemble it and try again.

Still happening with the newly assembled storage. I'm going to try and help out a little to track down the cause and then report back.
I figured it out. It was happening when the cells were in the extra cells drive fixture but not when they were in a normal ME drive.
I'm not 100% sure what you mean. There is the Arcane Assembler that allows you to autocraft arcane recipes, and if you use a ME interface and an Essentia provider you can automate the Thaumatorium. However if you mean actually crafting essentia itself, no there is no direct way to go about this yet, it is however on the todo list.
Please note that this version is classified as alpha due to the enormous amount of changes that I made. Once I can perform further stability testing, I will upgrade its status to beta.
Edit:
I would also like to take this opportunity to let you know that I will officially be dropping all support for RV1 and will be removing all legacy code that supports it in future builds.
With this post I want to inform you that I will be adding this mod to the public modpack "QubeSpace."
The modpack will be distributed with a short summary of your mod's contents, a link to this forum thread and a link to this mod's wiki if available.
How many mods (according to the title screen) does your pack have?
here's perhaps an idea which I don't know if it's been suggested before or not, but what about adding something like a Digital Node to Thaumic Energistics? the digital node would be similar to an energized node, which you can use to power certain machines and blocks, and you can use it to fill up your wand and scepter through the arcane terminal.
the first step for the way to create this digital node would be to aquire a primordial pearl. once you have this pearl you can turn it into a mundane node. to turn the mundane node into a digital node you'll need to infuse it with essentia through the infusion altar. the digital node has several levels, and it starts out at level 1, and by re-infusing it in the infusion altar you can level it up. ofcourse with each level the infusion cost increases. so for example to turn a mundane node into a level 1 digital node, it'd require 8 essentia of each primal aspect. for level 2 it'd require 16 essentia, level 3 32 essentia, level 4 64 essentia, level 5 128 essentia and so on. so it's similar to the infusion costs of runic shielding augmentation. each level will add 1 more point to each aspect in the digital (energized) node, making the digital node more powerful.
but ofcourse there needs to be a way to use utilize the digital node aswell. I thought that it'd be a cool idea to use the quantum network bridge for that. so you build the multiblock for the quantum network bridge, but instead of inserting a Quantum-Entangled-Singularity into the quantum network bridge you insert the digital node. to keep this digital node activated it'll require power, alot of it, just like when you'd be using a quantum network bridge.
you can always take out the digital node out of the QNB and level it up, but when you insert a digital node into the QNB there's a short moment the digital node needs to charge up, just like if you're turning a normal node into an energized node. the higher the level of the digital node, the longer it takes for the digital node to charge up and the more power it'll cost.
you will not be able to actually place this digital node into the world, as it can only be used in an AE network, but it's a thaumcraft node you can craft yourself and make it as strong as you want, if you don't mind spending the resources and power for it.
There is one thing i think should be added. The wand focus cable dyer. What it would do is you can change the color of cables with vis. It is and infusion recipe with the wrench focus and the rainbow color matter balls

A detailed walkthrough of the error, its code path and all known details is as follows:
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I had a working instance with v24, tried to update AE to 28 (and even 27) and it keeps returning this.
Oddly enough going back to v24 Version checker is now asking me to update TE from 8.9.2a to 8.9.1b and unless my math has been severely wrong all theses years 1 is lower then 2.
And yes I have way too many mods installed, I'm working on cutting the fat, while trying to get things working together.
0.8.9.3a-rv2 should correct this issue. And I have no clue as to why version checker would suggest 8.9.1b unless it is under the impression that beta 'b' should take priority over alpha 'a'. Or it might just have trouble with my naming scheme.
I have a bug report, an instance of questionable behaviour and some feature requests:
Bug:
If you store your essentia in a separate network and access it through an essentia storage bus on the main network connected to an interface of the essentia subnetwork, an essentia terminal connected to the main network sees and can access the essentia in the subnetwork, but does not update the stored amounts if they change.
Questionable behaviour (may be a bug):
Trying to get rid of unwanted essentia, I tried to export essentia from the network into a void jar. Unfortunately, the essentia export bus stops exporting essentia once the void jar is full. Which means I have no way to automatically rid the network of excess essentia.
Feature requests:
I would like to be able to format essentia storage cells in the cell workbench.
I would like to set storage priorities for essentia storage buses.
This it Thaumic Energistics 0.8.9.3a-rv2 with AE2 rv2-beta-28 as part of the Resonant Rise pack. And BTW, thanks for making this mod, it's very enjoyable to play with.

Export buses are designed to stop exporting once a container has reached it's full capacity. The essentia storage bus on the other hand does allow voiding to occur if placed against a void jar and void-mode is enabled.
got a crash http://paste.ee/p/eXExZ version of both mods is OK

For those of you the need to upgrade AE2 to beta-22, I have released a build supporting it: Version 0.8.9.2a

Eh. I forgot the name because i never got that far in ae. the farthest I got was 8 basic channels

Sub-network support is spotty at best :-/
Export buses are designed to stop exporting once a container has reached it's full capacity. The essentia storage bus on the other hand does allow voiding to occur if placed against a void jar and void-mode is enabled.
There is a special workbench for formatting essentia cells, aptly named Essentia Cell Workbench.
Essentia storage buses do support priority, clicking the wrench icon in the GUI will bring up the priority window.
