I'm probably doing something wrong, but I can't get a comparator-inventarium setup to work, and when I point a Tally Box at an Inventarium Core, the Core/brain immediately explodes into shards. Why is this? The Unseen Scribe was unpowered, unlinked, and provided with a chest.

The core requires empty space around it on its sides and below. I guess you could put a tally box above it, but that may change in the future. As the Thaumonimoicon entry should explain, the intended location for tally boxes is either pointing at one of the eight bookshelves that make up the required structure or somewhere else in combination with a remote comparator that has a crystalline eye pointing at the core.
Edit: I should also note, just so no one is confused, that when the core block breaks like this, the core itself should drop, not just the shards, so you shouldn't have lost anything. (The shards are there also because a crystal cluster is consumed when the core is placed. The shards are enough to craft into another cluster so nothing is really lost.)
Greetings, Thaumaturges. I have come with a suggestion for the great lord of magical automation. Based on earlier reading I have found that the eleventh word of the second paragraph on the fifth page of the Inventarium, namely the word Ordo, is extremely hard to read against the light color of the pages. I believe it would be beneficial to those with trouble separating similar colors if the word would be printed in a shade of grey from now on.

Would be fine as well, as long as it's something darker than what it is now. I had to read the text four times before I finally found it, which is very annoying.

Version 0.10.1 was released last night, in case you didn't notice. It fixes a bug with the version checker which I inadvertently introduced when fixing a mod compatibility issue. (The original issue was that mods like bspkrsCore, which render certain things on the main menu before you enter a world, would make the version checker think you were in-world already and so it would try to tell you what the latest version was before you'd be able to read the text.)

The color I used for "Ordo" there is the same one Azanor uses for it in the Thaumonomicon, but I do agree that it is too hard to see. I'll fix that. The color palette available for text is very limited, though, so I'll probably just go with a darker grey (which may not be all that distinguishable from the regular black color of the rest of the text, but at least it will be more legible).
So just a small favor to anyone that's messed around with the inventorium, does anyone have an example build of it? I was giving it a go trying to figure out what it does and how it works. But I got a bit lost trying to set it up functionally. I got the multiblock function of it working, and I tried placing the secondary blocks right next to a chest and then tried messing about with redstone to see if it had anything to do with that.
It sounds really neat based on the chapter, but I understand things better seeing them in motion or through display in image rather than reading up on them. I'd really appreciate an example if anyone has one.
I may put together some example builds later but I've been pretty busy this week. If anyone does come up with some nice screenshots/video using Automagy stuff, I may link to them in the original post (if they don't mind).
Speaking of being busy, I may not be able to release any new content this week. However, I should still be able to release a new version. Current changelog:
- Golem's Workbench: Non-advanced golems can now be used if the recipe fits in a 2x2 grid or all components are the same.
- Golem's Workbench recipe tweaked.
- Fixed issue where the particles that fly from an Unseen Scribe to an Inventarium Core when they are linked weren't shown if the scribe is some distance from the core.
- Updated Thaumonomicon entries "Inventarium" and "Structured Avarice" to improve clarity and legibility.
I'm glad you're improving the entries of the 'nomicon. Thanks for that. But alas, there is a bug to report as well. When I have MineFactory Reloaded installed, the glass panes in the 'nomicon entry for the hourglass turn invisible. They're still there, just... Well, invisible. Might be an issue with the 'nomicon itself, though. Anyway, MFR overrides vanilla panes, so I hope that helps. And if not, no matter, the thing's still craftable.

Thanks for the report but I'm afraid there's not much I can do about what other mods' items look like in the Thaumonomicon. If it looks wrong, then it's a bug in Thaumcraft itself or the other mod, or a compatibility bug with the two together.
I'm not sure if I posted it or if it just got lost, but are you ever thinking of adding in some sort of storage management that has similar functionality of an AE system like Applied Energistics? I love the work you are doing with the golems and would love it if there was some sort of crystal ball we could interact with that is connected to a storage warehouse run by golems. Request a stack of torches and it is delivered. That sort of thing.
More features related to inventory/storage are planned. Exactly how it will all pan out in the end, that's up in the air. But I am planning on a way to interface with the Inventarium system so you can see the item counts yourself, and I do want to get more into auto-crafting (particularly on-demand crafting). We'll see.
