I can't seem to get the Nethermind to work. It should be supplied in every way necessary, and my wand is full of vis and the discovery discovered, yet it doesn't work. Am I fundamentally failing the construction?

The construction looks fine, though you have more blocks than necessary on the arms. (You could remove the bottom layer of four blocks from that screenshot.) How full is "full"? The basic and greatwood wands won't hold enough. You need 75 Ignis and 25 Ordo. If you're in Creative mode, then it doesn't cost anything from the wand to start it up, so if that's the case, my guess is you're clicking on one of the rune blocks instead of the Nethermind block itself.

I've got a fully-filled Silverwood & Thaumium wand, and I'm clicking on the Nethermind block. This happens with only Thaumcraft and Automagy installed, as well as with my full set of mods. Truncating the bottom layer of blocks did nothing to fix it. It doesn't work in Survival or Creative, and it consumes no vis to 'try' and fail.
You're right-clicking the Nethermind block with a wand in hand? Does the wand do the full "swing" effect when you click or does it just go down for a moment (as it would when right-clicking on grass or simple stone)?
Edit: Oh, are you by chance on a test world and really close to the Y level 0? It doesn't like that.

Oh, yeah. I. . tend to play exclusively superflat, whoops. I'll go test it on non-superflat.
Sorry I've been away for a bit, but I have finished the test build for automated essentia logistics using automagy. Not everything is complet as I would like it, but all the concepts are in place for a larger scale version.
Main altar room, with all the jars and a button to "Flush" away any flux goo from the trenches.
Essentia sorting system, using buffers and filtered tubes.
Essentia locus to read every jar on top, and a few vis readers to trigger item flow when a set aspect is running low. As I said, this is mainly a proof of concept build. Also, golem item transport.
System used to melt down and extract essentia for later use.
Small part of the flux trench system, the arcane ears trigger all the sticky pistons at once that destroy any goo on top of them.
Small side system I built outside. The vis reader turns the stabilizer on and off as the node is drained, stopping it from running out of vis and becoming damaged.
Hey, just wanted to let you know that I get crashes to mainmenu when I want to research something. I dont get any crashlogs or errors in my logs to look for the solution myself.. I have thaumcraft 4+ttinker+automagy. ttinker is working, automagy not~

What, exactly, are you doing when it crashes? Clicking on an entry in the Thaumonomicon? If so, does it happen with every entry? Does it happen with only Automagy entries or only a specific Automagy entry? Does it happen if Automagy is disabled? Does it happen if the only enabled addons are Thaumcraft and Automagy?
Also, please post a log. (Link to somewhere like pastebin or put it in a spoiler.) Even if it doesn't crash, a log is still kept. You can have the launcher stay open when you run the game and copy from that immediately after the problem happens.

Thank you, it did take a fair few hours to build. I also had a plan to use a thirsty tank and some form of block to place large amounts of liquid in the world to make a sort of "Tank" for large scale fluid storage(Think railcraft tanks, but having each fluid block added to the world). Current problem is an extreme lack of magical blocks that do this sort of thing.

This is incredible, would you mind showing me how you built it? a simple picture of what the inner layer(s) look like would be helpful.
I'll give you the genral idea of the layout.
Here is a smaller version of the reactor layout. The bottom layer is a 6x6 of thermallilies, in this pattern. The idea was to maximize the number of thermallillies in this area, so along the outer edge of the influence zone of the Nethermind goes the first row of six thermalillies so that the farthest ones feed off the corners of the 9x9x9.
Atop the 6x6 is a similar 5x5 grid, placing blocks on the flowers and lava blocks and using the "Walls" of the last layer as the foundation of the flowers of the next(Like Ankh-Morpork). Just shift the flowers one in any direction to form the rows. After you build a 5x5, add a another 6x6 on top of it, repeat until you have a full 9x9x9 cube that forms the Hellfire Reactor.
I should note that you will need nine gaia mana spreaders for this build to keep up with mana output, and recessive sparks are the easiest way to send out the mana. In the center of each layer, instead of a wall or lava block, place the spreaders. Then replace one of the walls with a mana pool. Add the sparks, and I would recommend a voracity-potency lends for the spreaders.
Your homework for this assignment: Work out mass essentia production and storage for fueling the NetherMind. I'd recommend charcoal and cobble stone, as everything they produce is useful and both are automatable with just thaumcraft(Automagy not included).
This should cover everything, but if you need more details or better pictures let me know.
