There was an update posted to curseforge not that long ago.
This is true, but it's still pretty old. I uploaded it recently because I was tired of people reporting bugs on such an old version >.>
I do plan to pick this mod back up again, but I simply have too many other projects going on right now. Only so many hours in the day, unfortunately. And this mod, being one of the lowest popularity mods I have, and also myself being short on ideas for it, makes it sort of low priority

I remember you saying that, but still wanted to make sure that they knew, since I somehow doubt a lot of forum goers peruse your other downloads.
I just hope you know many of us appreciate all of your hard work on everything from this, to chisel to Ender IO. I know you'll get ideas when you least expect it, and I look forward to the continuation of this mod when it does, because it is the most inspired of the tech mods I've seen, almost like a magic mod rather than a tech on in some ways.
I'm tired of trying to figure this out. Exactly how many fires can you use to fuel the creation of a star without it crashing the game? One layer of 14x14 works, but after I got a poor resulting star I went hog-wild with netherrack. 6 layers. 25 flint and steel later and all it does is crash the game. I reduced it by a layer and tried again, still crashes the game. I just need the number, I don't need to spend my whole evening being a game tester.

I've tried just two layers and it still crashed my game.
I think your best bet would be to just maximize the size of the first layer, maybe have the second layer be half the size, and if it doesn't work by halfing it again, you'll just have to deal with it.
I've got an array of low-quality stars and they provide me with plenty of power... even though they still can't keep up with my quarry, which I'm starting to suspect can drain an infinite amount of power near-infinitely fast.

Hey there, loving your mod, I'm currently playing with it in my private pack and I'm having a lot of fun with it.
Just one thing, I was wondering, would it be possible for you to change the RF capacity of stars from an int to a long, that way one could use the configs to increase energy values instead of just decreasing them. Just 2 billion RF from a star is kinda measly, after all that's the equivalent of about 15 yellorium ingots in an efficient reactor.

you know it's not possible to download from the "1.7.10 downloads" button on the first page? the link is broken. other than that, the mod is nice for those that enjoy the power of the stars

Don't use those sites. SMT is now available on curseforge, I've given up on updating this thread because of how awful the editor is.
HEY I got an idea what if a video plays in-game when you make a star and it is a video of an actual star being made in space
and don't say there isn't any because I have seen many
Please bring this back, I love it too much

Soooooo I'm play Galactic Science.
Question. If the Star Harvester runs out of power and explodes does it do any harm to blocks?
Playing the same pack, I have a Brown Dwarf currently with no power left at all, and it hasn't exploded. :S
Thank god
Pretty sure this project was abandoned or put on hiatus due to the author working on EnderIO.
I'm the best kind of weeb trash.
Hiatus as you can see in the post by tterag a few posts above this one.

The latest curseforge release shouldn't crash when creating stars, no matter how much fire there is.
