I have taken the liberties of attempting to revive this mod made by DarkForce2000.
Here I will post "prereleases" and update information. I hope people are interested in this mod if I revive it!
Thanks very much to the original author for letting me (attempt) to revive this mod. I loved this game as a child.
-Add a carmelita fox mob that can see you from far away, fires exposlive rounds like in the game, is easily distracted by diguises or Thief Smoke Bombs, chases you, and yells at you. If she kills you she will confiscate all of your items and you can only get them back by killing her or pick-pocketing her
-Add distinct biomes and dungeons specific too each boss (ie volcano for Clockwerk, casino for Muggshot
-Add Minions for each biome (ie card throwing people for casino dungeon/biome)
-Add Cane which can be used to parkour on blocks, pickpocket bosses and mobs (wear disguise to get past mobs and bosses)
-Add Thief Dust which can be used for Thief Glass (transparent block that doesn't let light shine through. Good for observing bosses) or used in different bombs
-Thief bombs: smoke, clock, etc. Distract minions with clocks and smoke. Distract bosses with smoke only
-That is it for now.

This game was amazing as a child. So this idea is good and i love the fact that you're reviving this mod. You don't get how upset i was when he stopped working on it! :'(. But yeh. On the old page for it. There are some ideas (a few are mine) about how to improve or what to add to the mod. Obviously some ideas will be more difficult than others, and i can respect that. I would love to test this mod out when its given more features. Looking forward to the revival, man. Nice job!

Update: I will not be working on any actual coding for this mod until 1.8 is fully released due to the massive overhaul in 1.7.x and am hoping for a more stable coding environment (that i like anyway). Until then i will work on textures and models!
So, how is the mod going? I also only played Sly as a Kid . I would be honored to make a video about the mod (or maybe even sneak peeks if you allow me too ^^) once you get an alpha out or something. I'll try to figure out how to use the modelling program to see if I can help too. And in terms of Ideas, I played the games Sly 1, 2, 3 and 4 (own the 3 discs for the ps2 and the hd remastered edition for the ps3), so if you need ideas fell free to ask ^^. I really want this mod to be awesome and I hope it will come true ^- ^
I have been away and working on finals recently, but I am hoping to get going on the mod soon! Still mainly waiting for minecraft 1.8 before I start coding. Mainly going to work on modeling the different characters. If you'd like to help feel free to pm me! Thanks for the support!
I have a few ideas. First, why not add clockwerk? He could randomly spawn in the nether, and have ai similar to the ender dragon, but with a ton more health. He could drop a jetpack, which could be equivalent to a diamond chestplate, but give creative flight to the user. Second, what about a murray set of armor? it could be crafted from raw porkchops and leather, (except the head require a squid ink under the middle porkchop) be as strong as leather, but a strength II and haste II buff to give it a reason to exist. Third, some sort of device that turns you invisible on right click, but has a high durability, and make it with ore blocks based on the model colors. I don't remember what it was called in the games, but I think it's found in the snow area in Sly 2.Sorry for the overload, as I'm excited to see what you can do with the material for this mod. I'm a huge fan of the series, and will definitely download it on release of the mod. Good luck!
Welcome back my people! I finished a course in java coding and hope to start modding again! so im going to try and pour as much into this mod as i can in the next two weeks (before i head off to vacation for a bit). If anyone wants to help PM me, I'll need some graphics designers as well as mob designers. Lets see how this all works out!
