On the idea of having a few ads on Cuchaz Interatcive I think you should stay advertising minecraft stuff still but other ads also, but no ads that have fake download buttons that mislead you, or ads that give you viruses, or ads that link you to unsafe or bad sites that steal your details.
I'm probably going to stick with both for a while and see what works.
I don't like the fake download buttons either. I don't have a lot of control over what ads show, but I put a big label on them that says "Advertisements". Hopefully that should keep people from getting confused.
Hello everyone! Some of you may remember me, sorry I disappeared! Unfortunately, I have a lot of stuff going on in my life right now and really don't have time for modding, or in this case, compiling, anymore. Hopefully things clear up this summer, and then I can get back into a community and world I love. Just checking in to say goodbye (for now) and share some resources. For all those who want to compile the mod, here are some helpful resources Barteks sent me (thanks :D). Enjoy!
I believe these are safe and OK to distribute like this from what I've been told, if not please message/reply and I will remove them with my sincerest apologies. Hopefully I'll see you all soon!

At this point I don't think it makes sense to compile the old version. 1.8 version is probably easier to set up. And (hopefully) it will be released soon.
MagicMojoGradle and MagicMojoLibs are no longer on BitBucket (Cuchaz removed them) and I don't know any way to compile (and run) this version without them. They were licenced under GPL (or LGPL?) so distributing them should be safe.

Careful, you're not supposed to distribute MCP. It's against their license.
Also, don't bother with the old bitbucket version of Tall Worlds. It's obsolete now. The new Tall Worlds will be out soon enough, so I'd just wait for that.
And the new version of M3L no longer uses the libs or gradle jars, so those are obsolete too. That's why I removed them.
So, I will make a plea. Not one concerning the initial release, but one for a little after, one that you can consider.
First, I'm going under the assumption that there will be a Superflat world type, if not, please?
Recently I have taken it under myself to build something big. I thought of this mod, and it would allow something huge. I have since started on a massive building. This building is Dubai's never-built Nakheel Harbor Tower. This 1600 meter (1 mile) monster was to be built as the centerpiece to the Dubai Marina district, and would have been a city in a tower, containing hotels, apartments, offices, and other amenities. It was sadly cancelled in 2009, and all that was ever built was a circle in the ground at its location:
This tower would have dwarfed it's vicinity. It was huge, a mile high. That is almost twice as tall as our current tallest building (Burj Khalifa, Also Dubai, 818m). It would have completed this year, and it would have stood out as a structure showing the advancements in technology us puny humans have achieved. It would have at least 250 floors and a very high observation deck. It was cancelled as part of the Economic Crisis in '08.
Anyway, I have taken it upon myself to build this at a 1:1 scale. What I have now is only the base. It goes all the way up to the build height, which this mod removes.
To the plea: I ask of you one thing, to either add compatibility with, or add your own way of importing/exporting schematics. This would make this build ultimately complete, and will allow for some crazy things to be done. People can build something with world edit, and then import the build into Tall Worlds.
I understand that schematics may not be compatible with the cubic chunk system, but if you could make your own variation and a way to convert from vanilla schematic to tall worlds schematic than that would be great. This would give this mod way more possibilities, and you will see more come out of it.
Anyway, thanks for putting up with my post, and I hope that you can deliver.

(Here's some progress images on the build)
It is currently far from done, and hollow. But I am fast making progress
Just asking: Cuchaz, have you thought about changing half of Minecraft coordinate system to make current y64 new y0 ? (i.e. giving us 8 km of height and 8 km of spelunking space)
Of course I want Tall Worlds Mod to be compatible with every thing ever. That's not going to be the case on day 1 though. It might actually take me a very long time to make Tall Worlds Mod compatible with every thing ever because I only work on modding stuff in my free time. It could take months or even years. I have to spend most of my time working on something that will actually pay the bills, so that doesn't leave much time left for modding.
Specifically, world save converters are of course a goal, but who knows when we'll get one that actually works.
Dang, right as I go to sleep? Maybe I can spare a couple minutes.
EDIT: Um, the M3L .jar doesn't install anything. The button just flashes.
Hate to be that guy that just comes in and says
IT IS BORK PLZ FIX
but I have no idea what I'm doing. I see meta-INF and other minecraft-y things inside the .jar. Should I just dump it's innards into my 1.8.3 folder jar?

The installer does require vanilla 1.8.3 to be already installed. Try installing M3L after that?
EDIT: I should probably tell people that somewhere...
No, not yet. But Soon.
Haven't been following this (or pretty much any of MCF for that matter) lately, how's progress?
also you should check out Link Removed

While that is nice, people are dumb. There'll be a few mist-clicks.
These forums are dumb and break my links. I'm bubbleawsome on steam too.
@SuperSupermario24
read up please. i posted the same thing a little while ago.
Getting close to releasing on the one year anniversary of this thread. Lovely.
I wouldn't be surprised if he hypes up the 22nd and then nothing happens.

Oooooooo! YYYEESSSS!!!
Oh, how about that. A 1 yr anniversary coming up. Good timing. =)

Nope, definitely not possible. We'll need some kind of world format converter eventually, but such a thing does not currently exist.
