You should put Romeo Blue in one of the updates and is my second favorite jaeger behind Tacit ronin!

Wow I love all the fact that you are actually doing this I loved the movie and I love minecraft so this is amazing. just one question though how will the jaegers ranged weapons work ( like the plasma cannon)?

There will be particle effects as the blast travels from the cannon to the target

Also how will kaiju detection work, will you have to craft like a specific block or machine or are you alerted some other way?

That is a good idea, bout we may not implement that since we are looking for someone to host an official server for the mod anyway. Some of the mini-games we will have are:
Jaeger VS Kaiju (Kaiju come in waves and the players have to survive as many waves as they can)
Jaeger VS Jaeger (A gladiator type game)
Jaeger Survival Games (All contestants are in a jaeger and must grab upgrades for there jaeger before D-match)

One player (Or NPC in single player) controls the weapons.
And another player (Or NPC in single player) controls the legs, head, arms, Etc.
