In #107 hipmusicman sort of implies (between the lines) that Forge versions lower than 967 might work.... or does he?
In #111 Ripleythebard is even more ambiguous - seemingly agreeing, but then stating that the Forge version is not the issue.
And I'm going to second mariodk's #110 question... or paraphrase and augment it: So is it felt that the problem IS known? Is there any idea of when it'd be reasonable to expect an update/fix? Is there a work around? If so what might that be? (Forge v. 966 perhaps???)
forge for 1.7.2 doesn't go lower than 967. on a side note forge 967 doesn't even work. you can't load mods to it. and the later versions have similar issues. also those versions at or below 1007 don't load the DT mod at all anyways. i guess you could say that's the only reason why the game doesn't crash. for those versions at or above 1008 the game will just crash before fully loading due to a faulty mod. correct me if im wrong but earlier this year the DT mod was working correctly on 1.7.2 for many of the later versions of forge. however since the download has changed no one is able to load the mod without it crashing. we'll just have to wait it out. there's no reason to pressure the dev team. just posting crash reports under spoilers is enough to get the idea that there's something wrong and it needs to be fixed. but there's no telling how long it could take.
I chose my words carefully with the intent of NOT pressuring anyone when I asked when it's reasonable to expect an update. I don't care if the answer is weeks, months, or years (okay, I care a little), but it'd just be nice to set an expectation.
Secondly, I'm still confused. So DT is just dead-in-the-water then? No one is using DT right now? When did it work? Is it not possible to run versions of this that or the other thing (MC, Forge, Slime, DT) that do work?
Hey guys sorry for the delay, been dealing with RL stuff and having to much fun playing MC, I've finally gotten a build uploaded to our server and now we just need to wait for some links to be generated.
I'll be working on the new features shortly namly elevator floor names, and elevator proximity sensors.
First of all, holy hell in a handbasket this is the best thing I've ever seen ever
Secondly, I'm brand new at this modding thing so bear with me if I've made a noob mistake
I can't get the floor naming to work properly - here's what's happening:
I go into Maintenance mode
Using the Elevator Tool I right click on the Floor Marker Block. I get a text box and a +/- level selector thing. I can type my floor name into the box (and alter what level the elevator stops at)
When I hit "Submit" there's a "click" but the dialog doesn't close. I hit escape to close the dialog
Go out of Maintenance mode
When I click on the Floor Marker, it still displays the level the elevator with stop at (65, or whatever), but interestingly when it stops there the message is "Elevator arrived at" and the text I put in.
When I Save and Quit the world, when I come back in it's forgotten my floor names altogether.
To be honest, I don't care if this gets fixed - the way it is now is so freaking cool I'm blown away!
Many diamonds for you sir!!!!
Edited to add: I suspect it's because I'm running Forge for 1.7.10 - would that be it?
