I am running into an issue with your mod and it's interaction with NEI & Forge.
Minecraft 1.7.10
NEI 1.0.4.83
Forge 10.13.2.1291 (though the issue also occurred with recommended forge version)
While
Dynamic Transport does function the way it is supposed to (for the most
part) ... the following error gets displayed in the Game Output and
causes severe lag
[12:13:31] [NEI Item Loading/ERROR] [FML]: No Item Exists for this Item Damage
[12:13:31] [NEI Item Filtering/ERROR] [FML]: No Item Exists for this Item Damage
Both
of these error messages are being generated in a loop. I am only
showing you one each of each error message, but, in game play I may see
each message repeated approximately 20 times before going to the next
one.
Unfortunately, I was able to pinpoint this to your mod
through trial and error by pulling one mod after another, testing to
game response in a testing world environment ... and there was no crash
and no other indicators as to what within your mod is causing the error.
As
such, with much regret, I had to remove your mod so my world was still
playable as the lag generated is significant around the elevators. If
you could figure out what is causing this, that would be fantastic
because I really do appreciate what your mod accomplishes.
Thanks!
When i use the elevator, (I did all of the maintanence stuff first) it refused to move, and more elevator blocks spawned at the destination. HELP! It works just find going down but its bugged when I go back up!
Try removing all of the elevator related blocks and then remove all the entities using MCEdit.
running latest version of MC, latest version of forge so my son can use the Too much TNT and furniture Mod (he's 6). He desperately wants the dynamic transport MOD - do I need to delete forge 1.8 and install 1.7.10 to run this or can I have both going simultaneously?
I created a seperate folder, called elevator, ran it and it installed 4 folders but did NOT install a mod folder for me to drop the mod in? Any reason for that?
in the forge setup section, there is only 1.7.10 as a selection on the drop down menu, not a "forge 1.7.10"
as of right now I have a .minecraft folder with some 1.8 mods installed and working fine.
Can you walk me through all steps of setting up new profile or point me to a vid? I created a folder in .minecraft folder, called 1.7.10 but when I loaded it for the 1st time, only 4 folders were created. how do i get the mod folder to populate?
the forge installer will only use the default name for its profile. It will not create a custom named profile.
I will rename my forge profiles as the installer will overwrite the profile that uses the default forge name, under certain circumstances.
you don't have to point the forge installer to the new location, you just have to copy the version folder from your main .minecraft folder to the other one.
as far as the new profile, if you rename the default forge profile, the forge installer will create a new one that you can edit.
with this new profile, select the option to choose the game directory and point it to the main folder of the alternate location. I do believe that it has to be a .minecraft folder at the end, but you can put that inside as many folders as you want to organize the versions. However it looks like you did it inside the main .minecraft folder, so not 100% sure about this one.
make sure the version of the game used actually exists in the location you are pointing to, as the launcher doesn't look in the location you are pointing to, just the ones that have been installed.

1. I said inside spoiler tags
2. that is a pure forge crash, nothing else loaded
3. you are trying to use a 1.8 resource pack in 1.7.10. I don't think this should cause a problem, but remove it and try again. If it does crash, hit up the forge forums.
Hello there! Great mod, really excited for this, but I face one problem. The blocks don't seem to work. I placed them correctly, but nothing happens when I right-click them. Not the elevator, not the computer, nothing. Any ideas?
You need to hold SHIFT while right clicking the elevator computer.
God Bless.
i have same issue with nei error message looping
but i havent noticed any lag
Try removing all of the elevator related blocks and then remove all the entities using MCEdit.

It'd be awesome to have this updated to 1.8, with that update, it would also be great to add names to the floors.

it takes separate install locations, but yes, you can have both on the same comp. I have 4 on my comp. It isn't hard with the launcher.
I created a seperate folder, called elevator, ran it and it installed 4 folders but did NOT install a mod folder for me to drop the mod in? Any reason for that?
did you do a completely separate .minecraft folder location and set your forge to that location?
did the main menu show up like it would with forge installed?
I find the easiest thing to do is to copy your entire .minecraft folder and start from there
in the forge setup section, there is only 1.7.10 as a selection on the drop down menu, not a "forge 1.7.10"
as of right now I have a .minecraft folder with some 1.8 mods installed and working fine.

post a crash log please, inside spoiler tags
from a Forge 1558 run.
Congrats on creating a great elevator mod for 1.7.10.

yes you can rename floors, but it won't show up in the buttons, only the announcements.
Hey guys just to let you know I'm starting to start developing the next update
COOL!
Strike647You need to hold SHIFT while right clicking the elevator computer.
God Bless.
What is coming in the next update?
God Bless.
When ever place a block down doesn't work
Please fix
Is there a limit to how many elevator blocks you can use?
You need Slimevoid Library, the link to it is on the first post of this forum under the link for the Dynamic Transport mod, and here it is here:
