However, is it intentional that Blood wont harden when raining and you are Underground? I read that it wont harden when rain is falling on the blood an to place a cover over, but if so then shouldnt the same be true if its underground?
At the moment, this is indeed intended behavior, but you have a good point for having it harden underground even when it's raining. I'll look into this for next update.

You can find the Dark Ore between Y-levels 6 and 66, they are semi-rare though. If you added this mod to an already existing world you will need to enable retrogen, more info about this can be found in the main post.
i had to cheat some it was the only way i coumld find any i even went to bedrock and fond diamonds,eneralds,and eternal isles rare ores like jade but not a single piece of dark ore
Yes, this is normal (at least since the last versions). This is because the rendering of the Blood Stained Block is determined by the inner block, the block that is stained with Blood. Normally, you shouldn't be able to obtain this block in any way, can I ask how you managed to get this block?

I'm loving this mod, it's proving to be very handy to have.
You might want to put some kind of spawn height limit on the Dark Temples though, at least in regards to things like Tinkers Construct's slime islands:
Great mod, have always loved it. I am creating myself a knew personal pack with mods that use a wide range of biome ID's, your "DegradedBiome" does it have any issues using a higher ID that what is set.
The only reason I ask is a have had a few mods that don't like going about 127, weird I know.

There shouldn't be any problem when changing the biome ID, as long as you don't go above the maximum amount of allowed biomes.
I just want to say that I've been having a ton of fun with this mod! It's sooo much fun on its own, and then add blood magic, and woohoo! I can't wait to see what you come out with next! Just a quick question what does the vein sword do? Anything special? Thanks so much for this mod!

Glad you like it. The Vein Sword has Looting II by default when crafted, it also doubles the amount of blood that you get inside your Blood Extractor when killing mobs. It is an early game weapon though, so it has a low durability with a fairly limited amount of damage it can inflict.

I really like the idea of this weapon- is there any chance maybe later there could be some kind of upgrade for it? (Maybe use it as part of another higher tier crafting recipe for a better weapon?)

The major focus of this update was to add some in-game documentation. This resulted in the addition of 'The Origins of Darkness' where the player can follow the progress of an unconventional adventurer. Everything there is to know about this mod can be found in this book. To obtain it, please have a look at the original post of this thread.
If you would come across any bugs, please report them into our github issue tracker.
And remember, always make a backup of your world before using/updating this (and actually also any other) mod.
We'll now start updating to Minecraft 1.8, but don't expect an update too soon though.
Next feature update might have something to do with flying sticks...

Edit: Just a thought - Where there ever any plans to add armor? Some Dark Gem Encrusted robes that had the same effect as the sword (on a smaller scale of course) would be delicious. Just curious! Thanks :3

Some armor based on Dark Gems is indeed something I want to work towards, just have to work out a good concept as I don't want it to be 'just another armor set'.
And the Dark Tanks already could store other fluids, I just now added them to the creative window to clearly show this functionality since many people weren't aware of this.

As always, there was some more bug fixing, balancing and some small new things were added. Like for example Thaumcraft integration and an 'Effortless Ring'.
