DAY-Z : Minecraft is based off the game Day-Z Standalone. Unlike any other Day-Z Minecraft mod, DAY-Z : Minecraft brings the Day-Z feel and experience to Minecraft. This mod does support single player and multi player, so you can play by your self or play with your friends. We also plan on setting up an Official Server for our mod for fans and players to play on and create bases, factions, hold fellow players up, and kill zombies. The crafting dead mod isn't Day-Z driven or Day-Z based AT ALL. If you have ever played the Day-Z mod for ArmaII or Day-Z Standalone, the crafting dead mod for minecraft is nothing like them. But with our mod, we are trying to recreate the Day-Z experience as best as possible for minecraft. And thank you for the luck

You guessed right, it has been in the works for a few months. If I am able to create a descent model and render it decently, then yes. But I'm thinking about adding it just for looks. So like a stationary tank that you can spawn in, but it would be there just for looks and map making. I don't see the point in adding a functional tank, but i'll see what we can do c;

Haha it's cool man :3 but me and the team will make an application you can fill out on a separate forum page once the first version of the mod is released. Because when we release the first version of the mod, the server will most likely open by the time we release the second version or the first update.

Yup. This mod doesn't have any attention at all. But, we hope that will change once we post some videos on youtube showcasing what we have added to the mod so far, and what we are working on adding

We were thinking about it. It's not hard at all to make 3-d guns. But when you have over 30 guns to model and render it's a time consuming process. And that's time we could be spending improving something else. So no, we aren't at the moment because we would rather improve game mechanics and gameplay rather then focusing on adding 3d guns. And we are happy with the way the guns are now

maybe if its way less buggy maybe you can start making 3d guns or adding new items pro tip of the day: when theres no bugs at all then start improving graphics but if theres a really hated graphic change it.

You most eat and drink to live just like in Day-z resources are found throughout the map just like in Day-Z. When you fall from a high place your legs break just like in Day-Z. This is just what comes to mind of the top of my head and lets be fair one can say that they game Day-Z is like the show the walking dead.
Anyways I think the walking dead mod might be abandoned you might as well take it over and make a Day-Z server/map pack that works like the game Day-Z. At the very least ask if you can have some of the code to help make the Day-Z mod to save you sometime.

We already rendered the guns when a player has it in their hand so it doesn't look like they are holding an item. I will post pictures today on what I mean because it probably doesn't make sense XD So I think players will be happy with what we have done with them as of now. After the first release, I will add a poll on what we should work on adding next and 3d guns will be something you can vote on

And I'm not sure if it's abandoned or not because if you check the tekkit page they have regulated updates. It would be nice if we could get access to their thirst, temperature, sound, and sight code because it will save us a lot of time so we can be working on adding stuff like vehicles, more guns, better gameplay, more renders, player movements, etc. rather then be working on something that already has been done
I'm not much into Minecraft mods but i have to say this broh, that's some awesome work you have done there. It's good that you have gotten much into details, seeing how you have added custom models for each item if its dropped. I really enjoy the textures and your style for modding. I can't wait to see what you will add next, will definitly follow this thread

Thanks it means a lot to us. And we are planning on adding a whole lot more stuff between now and the first release. We want to pack as much content as possible within the first release to give the community a taste of what we have planned for this mod, and to get the mods name known. After the first release, we are just going to keep adding more and more content. And there will be an official server put up for the mod with a custom Day-Z style map.
The mod has so much content already, I would love to post more screenshots but we aren't happy with some of the textures and rendering, so when we are happy with the way all of the items, blocks, etc. are textured, modeled, and rendered I will post videos and screenshots giving updates and information about the progress of the mod and our plans for the mod.
