Thx for the new version, now it works, but I must delete the old block and create it new. Can be that I messed around too much with the other options at the block.
So badly I choosed the wrong time to test your mod. With an actual documentation / beginner tutorial I would have realized earlier it was only a bug and didn't spend hours in try around and think I'm too stupid for this mod.
Edit: awesome, ctm textures over optifine works directly perfect.
Run into another "Bug", I tried to create a Sword, works, but my character hold it totally wrong in his hand. Seams the standard data in models/item are totally wrong. In both, 3rd and 1st person view.
Edit: could it be that the mod ignore the data in models/item?

I am new to this mod and have two begginer's questions. I started with a simple item.
More simple question: How to set up name? Display Name in the gui is setted up, but the name shown is still item.test_item.name
More complex question: Is there a way how to edit the items outside the MC? Guys here in the forum shows some scripts, but i have access only to the gui. I found where to put textures and all assets, but I don't expect this to be the place for defining the items... Well it does contain one json file in the model folder... but I don't think it is what I am looking for. It also contains class file and some dump.txt... dump is an output, so I don't expect to use it as input... as for the class... well, binary? So, how is it?
