Adventurers have gone far in Minecraft. Some have ventured into the far reaches of the world, finding Strongholds, Dungeons, etc. Some have even ventured into the Nether, finding the hell world full of horrible things. Even fewer have successfully ventured into the dark portals found in the Stronghold to the End, and fought the legendary Enderdragon. Very few have succeeded (legit). Even some have managed to alter their world and found themselves among creatures and dimensions not normally found in their world of Minecraft. Now, a new world rises. One thought to have been nothing but emptiness. This world, full of the unknown, poses new adventures, and new threats. Who would dare enter this great frontier? Only those who have mastered the Overworld, the Nether, and the End may enter this legendary world. What will they find? Will they find the greatest treasures? Or the greatest discoveries? Or will they find many horrible things that will haunt them forever? The truth is they will find all of these things, for this world rewards well. And punishes severely. This is The Void.
Some may ask, why create a mod like this. My answer: because I felt that it fits well into the current works of Minecraft. I don't feel that it would contrast from any of the vanilla aspects of the game, and just adds to it in a positive way. It is my hope that this mod is met with enthusiasm and enjoyment. All I ask is for patience, and for a positive reaction. I do take criticism, but I ask for complimentary statements to help balance those out.

What is it?
This mod is meant to create a new dimension called The Void. The Void is home to many mysterious new blocks, items, and creatures. It may even have a whole new boss, more powerful than either of the vanilla bosses
When will it be released?
The release date is still to be determined. As of now, the mod is in Pre-Alpha version, and most of the blocks, items, and creatures have yet to be created/finished. The dimension also has a lot of work before it is ready for release.
Who is the creator?
I, Aeverius, am currently the one and only developer of the mod. In the future there may be another modder added to help with bug fixes specifically. I also do all the models and textures, but am looking for someone to help out in that department. It would be preferred that they also have a good idea how to render their models. They must use Techne. If interested in either of these, please post below.
What types of creatures will it add?
All void mobs are some type of unknown/spiritual creature. None are typical living creatures of the normal world. On that note, they may appear similar to a Blaze in how they are not all completely one creature that has all of its parts attached to it. As for the possible future boss, it is unknown what it will look or act. It may not even be the only boss, but possibly the only natural spawning boss (in which case, it would then be weaker than the vanilla bosses).
The Void Rusher
It is small, but very quick. Aggressive to the player and to villagers. Currently, it has more health than the player because of its void spirit making it so strong. And yes, it can fly, though similar to a Blaze's flight. Will naturally spawn in the Void Plains biome.
The Void Stalker
It is rather short, but pretty large other than its height. It is currently aggressive to the player and to villagers. It has a large amount of health again due to being a void spirit. It does not fly, and is not as quick as the Void Rusher, but it is stronger. They may contain a surprise later on
What types of items will it add?
It will add a large assortment of Void equipment and tools. The real excitement is the advanced items, that are still to be determined.
What types of blocks will it add?
This mod will add quite a few new blocks, and a few liquids. As for the blocks, one of the current blocks that is most exciting will hopefully act as the opposite of Glowstone. It will actually increase darkness, instead of light. However, should the light level already be at its lowest, it will probably have no effect. A lot of blocks will probably have void particles in addition. There may also be a type of black fire that is created, which acts similar to fire, but may have some differences.
What will the portal look like?
As of now, the portal is constructed with Quartz blocks in the shape of a Nether Portal. The lighter, which has not been created yet, will probably be created from Endstone. This way, to enter the Void, the player must first battle in the Nether and the End first.
This is the main idea of the portal, though the portal texture and particles might be customized eventually.
What will the dimension look like?
This is very unknown as of now. It will contain multiple biomes, but it may contain floating islands, or it may all be floating islands, similar to the End, but would be more common. The dimension will contain structures, and one will most likely be a large tower, which will be the Void's version of a Stronghold/Nether Fortress.
Will this mod add to the existing dimensions?
This mod will NOT add any blocks that are not vanilla to the existing worlds. Those blocks must be placed there by the player, if he/she wants them there. As for items, there may be new items created from vanilla blocks, such as the Endstone lighter idea. Now for creatures, there may be some creatures added, but they come as Expansions to the mod. An example might be a Nether expansion that adds demonic creatures or an Overworld expansion that adds new void hybrid type creatures.
Expansions to a mod?
Yes, I want expansions to the mod, because I don't want to shove a massive mod down anyone's throat. The Void itself is already a large project, so additions would come in the form of expansions, which will require the Void to work anyway. This is part of the reason I want another modder on the team to help with bug fixes.
Why does this mod sound so difficult?
Because it is. The Void is meant to be the most difficult dimension, but also the most rewarding. It's meant to make new purposes for existing vanilla blocks/items as well.

Can I use this mod in my modpack?
As of now, the only modpacks I may accept offers from will be from large and popular modpacks. My reason, they give more credit to the actual modder, and I don't want my mod mixed in with a bunch of random ones and make me feel like I didn't work hard on it.

I recommend naming it something else from the Void. The Void is a common name for The End, and underneath bedrock. But otherwise sounds amazing! I'd help but y'know, I'm only 15.
I do realize that the End resembles the Void somewhat, but its entities and the actual dimension do not actually resemble the characteristics the true Void, which we all know is dark and unknown. The Void is just the name of the main dimension, though I am willing to hear other names that may better label the mod
Thanks! I have rendered it a specific way for looking. For example, let's say you are in creative and it notices you. Most mobs such as a Zombie will turn their head toward you. This creature does too, but it also turns all the cubes individually around it's body. Each set of cubes turns a different amount from each other and the "head". I just thought it would be cooler to have all of it's parts move, instead of just its head.
I understand people probably want a bunch of screenshots of this mod, but I have posted all of those that I feel comfortable with sharing at the moment. I only release images when I'm satisfied with at least a 95% completed look to something. Both images of the mobs I've released I consider finished products, if I was to change anything about them, it would just be entity details. As for the dimension, it is still heavy under construction. I'm working really hard on this mod, so please have patience and know, I'm excited to play this mod too
As for a side note, when the mod is released, I will welcome people to do mod reviews. I will personally make a YouTube series with it, though I'm not sure if I will mix it with my current one (link is in my signature). Anyway, just updating on some thoughts I've had!

After doing a little time to think, I believe that my first expansion will most likely be the Demonic Expansion, featuring demons! Don't worry, the are mostly found in the Nether... But, some may have found their way to the surface...
