To everyone wondering where Toops is, I've known him for years, and he can sometimes disappear for a while. It isn't his fault. Blame life. I'm sure he will be back with a passion to keep this going. Just give him a while.

Thanks for the update on Toops. I'm glad to hear his absence wasn't something dire. Hope life treats him better & he gets some time to himself (forget the mod - everyone needs to recharge their batteries sometime).

So I haven't been able to find a place to discuss the 1.7.10 version of TSteelworks, so I am posting my question here, if this is the wrong place to ask please let me know where to go.
It seems that if I have a molten metal, let's say iron, in the high oven, I can't melt another metal, like copper. Is this intended? Because it is not the same behavior it had in 1.6.4
Or am I being forced to use the Deep Tank to do what I want?
Ducts wont change the target slot in 1.7.10 build. I cant insert directly to controller with hoplers top becouse they go into one of the compound slots. This is gamebreaking. If I cant automate this is worthless.
You've awoken on this barren wasteland planet, a civilization once ruled and proud, but where is everyone? All the buildings are empty, nothing remains, all that can be seen is mass hordes in all directions of zombies, skeletons and other creatures never before seen. Inside isn't safe, Outside isn't safe, what will u do to survive this planet and escape? Can you survive the 1st day without death claiming you?
There is no natural light, when night time comes it's pitch black, no moon light and all that is heard is the scratching and moaning of whats around lurking to destroy you. Mining reveals unbeknownst horrors from the rocks just waiting to come out and devour your soul. Puddles of liquid blue or purple are not water, but also intent on harming you.
K, i downloaded one of the 1.7.10 versions, but the game wont let me have steelworkign and you... like... at all. I cant pour seared stone over any books, and the book doesnt appear in any NEI or creative mode spanwlists.
since its required for both tinkers construct, and all its addon mods, yes, i did install it. and everythign else is present in game, the only thing i cant have is the book.

I think you misread what r00sty said. He said CookieCore, not Mantle. CookieCore is the modding library that the current maintainer of Steelworks.
Before you say "uh... you are missing the mod itself..." i started removing mods and started reinstalling them again to see if that would fix the issue, jsut took this after removing a few then realised i should prove i did in fact have the mod installed already.

I just wanted to make sure since it seemed like you were saying CookieCore was also required for Tinker's, which it is not, hence why I said that to make sure.
I'm mostly wondering now if you have the latest version. I would also highly recommend you update your Optifine as that version in the picture had issues with a lot of mods.
Okay. So I used the word "tomorrow" liberally. I installed the latest version of cookie core off forge, and the latest version of steel works from git hub, it appears to be working. I got the book off the creative tab and was also able to craft it.

I don't think it actually has a max size, and you can build as high as you want for the walls. Its width in blocks MUST be an odd number though.
