Alright guys. The time is almost near for the first release of Shurtugal! I've updated the mod and nearly finished coded up the armor (again). The plan is to have it up by tomorrow afternoon at which we should have something presentable to show we are progressing. There will be no dragons in this update. For many of the items (scales and Brightsteel) you'll have to swap over to creative because we don't have the tree that the ores spawn under yet and scales we don't have any dragons for you to kill.
But yes. Tomorrow is the planned release day if there are no stupid export problems like there were last time that mugged up the release.

It's fine. I am not quite sure myself seeing as Wiz controls that but he's away at ComicCon this weekend. I'll be putting it on Drive, paste a link and we can call that the temporary modplace (but it has a guide to the mod so it's still pretty important). Once Wiz is back he'll make an official spot for it.
And on other notes, the mod is in a short testing phase to make sure we have no issues with textures! Almost done guys!

I did just finish a fix to the Creative Tabs and I will post the fix once I wake up in a few hours; didn't take long and did it while the video was rendering!
I'll keep one egg and make it my dragon. The other 81, I have no clue.
Oh, and about the dragons, would it be possible to implement some way of making them grow faster? Similar to how Galbatorix grew his dragon (Name escaoes me, I just woke up) and Thorn.
And, personally, I think the max size for the dragons in this mod should be twice the size of the Ender Dragon.

I have been following this mod for a long time, but have been almost completely quiet on the thread. I saw the most recent release and immediately got excited, am disappointed Dragons aren't a think yet; however it's progress! I have a few questions. My first question is, I have a youtube channel and plan to do a modded let's play and yes, I want this mod to be part of my own custom modpack. Would that be allowed? Additonally not to bother, but because of potentially using this mod for a series I'm curious, how long will this take for an Offical release with all the key aspects in place?

I think you are expecting a lot out of an ALPHA mod in it's FIRST release if you try launching it along with several other mods. Have you tried it alone? Have you tried just adding one mod at a time? It is just a conflict with one of your other mods, likely several of them

If you want to use the mod in a series as well by all means go ahead! As long as you don't say the mod was made by you and/or you pose as us its perfectly all right!
Very cool and thank you very much! I didn't realize the armor didn't loaded until I woke up the day we released the mod but I have managed to fix the not loading error (Turns out it was loading it in the wrong spot xP).
On the note of the Brightsteel and Scales, we have intentions for them! Along with some new items and dropping loot from sheep (Too bad you killed two :c) on their deaths! And we will also be implementing a new biome, and Brightsteel Ore generation in that biome only! One generated structure will be implemented inside this update as well and will be useful in the update after this one (everyonewilllovetheupdateafterthisone).
Hint for one of the items in the new update to come: Hammered.
EDIT: Be careful with the mods you use with it. We figured out some of the classes conflict with the classes of other mods (possibly steel in certain mods).
Love what you guys are doing, I will watch on the side lines until the mod plays better with others. Plus I like watching the progress!
Now, a question about getting this mod to play friendly... will shared items, like say steel, be used in forge ore dictionary? The 'sheep meat' as well? As an example, some more mainstream mods like Pams Harvestcraft has mutton and Railcraft has steel. Bringing this mod into such compatibility would stop common users of other mods from being steered away and giving this a go once it gets closer to a release. I know I certainly would, even if I was not a fan of dragons or Christopher Paolini's works. Plus it cleans up any double ups in the way of storage of said items.
Oh also, mutton has a better ring to it then 'sheep-meat'... sits better into the fantasy genre and if you do go the ore dictionary way, would sit better with any cross overs as well!

And we do have intentions of making the mod compatible with mainstream/other mods.
I know its just Alpha, and we have a LONG way to go for a full release, but how long would you say before dragons?

We are planning on dragons for the next update as well as world gen stuff. We'll be starting with (I think) one dragon and add on more with each update (i.e. 1.2 will have (let's say) blue dragons, 1.2.1 will have red dragons, etc, etc). We'll also be starting with the Ender Dragon model just edited for now until we have a modeling/texture team behind us to make custom dragons.
Version 1.1.1 will just be a name change for "sheep meat" so don't be surprised when it comes out.

I think you are expecting a lot out of an ALPHA mod in it's FIRST release if you try launching it along with several other mods. Have you tried it alone? Have you tried just adding one mod at a time? It is just a conflict with one of your other mods, likely several of them

If you want to use the mod in a series as well by all means go ahead! As long as you don't say the mod was made by you and/or you pose as us its perfectly all right!
Like I said, that's expecting a lot out of a mod. However, jsyk.... It works with Optifine, Crafting guide, and Bibliocraft
Very cool and thank you very much! I didn't realize the armor didn't loaded until I woke up the day we released the mod but I have managed to fix the not loading error (Turns out it was loading it in the wrong spot xP).
On the note of the Brightsteel and Scales, we have intentions for them! Along with some new items and dropping loot from sheep (Too bad you killed two :c) on their deaths! And we will also be implementing a new biome, and Brightsteel Ore generation in that biome only! One generated structure will be implemented inside this update as well and will be useful in the update after this one (everyonewilllovetheupdateafterthisone).
Hint for one of the items in the new update to come: Hammered.
EDIT: Be careful with the mods you use with it. We figured out some of the classes conflict with the classes of other mods (possibly steel in certain mods).

Love what you guys are doing, I will watch on the side lines until the mod plays better with others. Plus I like watching the progress!
Now, a question about getting this mod to play friendly... will shared items, like say steel, be used in forge ore dictionary? The 'sheep meat' as well? As an example, some more mainstream mods like Pams Harvestcraft has mutton and Railcraft has steel. Bringing this mod into such compatibility would stop common users of other mods from being steered away and giving this a go once it gets closer to a release. I know I certainly would, even if I was not a fan of dragons or Christopher Paolini's works. Plus it cleans up any double ups in the way of storage of said items.
Oh also, mutton has a better ring to it then 'sheep-meat'... sits better into the fantasy genre and if you do go the ore dictionary way, would sit better with any cross overs as well!
These are of course general inquiries or suggestions should they had not been considered before! Otherwise, keep up the good work and I will be watching with all diligence! You are reviving something fantastic here.

Good job on releasing the mod!
We are planning on dragons for the next update as well as world gen stuff. We'll be starting with (I think) one dragon and add on more with each update (i.e. 1.2 will have (let's say) blue dragons, 1.2.1 will have red dragons, etc, etc). We'll also be starting with the Ender Dragon model just edited for now until we have a modeling/texture team behind us to make custom dragons.
Version 1.1.1 will just be a name change for "sheep meat" so don't be surprised when it comes out.
