It doesn't seem like I'm able to smelt down tartarite and some other materials in the tinkers smeltery. back in 1.6.4 M3 I was able to smelt atlarus/adamantite and make tartarite in the smeltery, then make it into the different parts. Has this been removed or am I doing something wrong?
I just wanted to ask if this mod will give support to DivineRPG Ores and gems to be melted and somehow used to create TC tools and such? DRPG is now officially released now for 1.7.10.
latest version of ExtraTiC supports Nevermine 2: Advent of Ascension which is by the same creator of DivineRPG and XolovA is using the same post that was for DivineRPG since 2012 for Nevermine 2: Advent of Ascension.
So it's clearly the successor of DivineRPG.
Now, if you guys want DivineRPG support, you need to let me why is it better than N2: AoA.

You should be able to melt down Tartarite and alloy atlarus with adamantite in 1.7.10. the recipes should be in NEI. o.o
If this is correct, I don't know what the problem is. I can howerever mention that I added extratic and metallurgy to FTB Infinity 1.7.10 so there might be a mod conflict somwhere, but it's kinda strange since platinum can be melted into shiny metals and stuff.
Atlarus and Adamantite does smelt in the smeltery, but will not combine into tartarite

The alloying recipe should be like this, on the left you have 144mb Adamantite and 144mb Atlarus on the right you have 288mb of tartarite :
if you don't see it or it have wrong numbers, check the alloying section in configs of ExtraTiC, and check minetweaker configs/scripts if it's in pack.
Hey, Wanted to know if its possible to get Tinkers Defense support.. Would be really nice to use all these extra materials to make some fancy shields..
Even though there's Simple Ores 2 weapons in NEI there is no way to craft the parts to make a tool. I tried melting things in the smeltery and also putting it in a part table. Neither worked. I wish to make Onyx tools. Also, I cannot melt Dark Steel from Ender IO in the smeltery even though there is molten Dark Steel shown in NEI. Help is appreciated.
Not all the recipes or mechanics are in the mod yet, glassmaker has been working as hard as he can but he has stuff to do IRL, modding is more of a side project and he hasn't had time to get everything working fully yet.
There are the Shiny parts and the Platinum parts added by Metallurgy/ExtraTiC. Melting Shiny or Platinum give molten platinum in the smeltry but casting always give you shiny parts...
For now I am doing a minetweaker scrip that remove the shiny parts recipe and add the platinum parts since the last ones interest me more.
I have a problem. There is a config option that allows compatibility with "Extra Utils". I assumed this meant the Extra Utilities mod, until it kept crashing upon startup. Is this mod actually supposed to work with the extra utilities mod, or is it another mod?

It is. The problem is that Extra Utilities added in its own tools, thus making the ones from this one depreciated.
Turn off the compatibility and you should be good.
No it will not be supporting DivineRPG, at least not in the near future , Advent of Ascension is already far superior it DivineRPG anyway.

Oh my god, I'm an idiot for not checking that. Metallurgy compability was disabled in the ExtraTiC config file...
sorry for bothering you with my stupidness, I'll go back to my cave and rot now, bye.....
thank you

how does one make glass arrows? Also, I'm having a problem. The part builder won't let me use slime crystals but will let me use slime shards.

+cmasonw0070: You can't make glass arrows, their creative only.
+lilmoefow: It was asked about a long time ago, Glassmaker said he would look into it at some point.

Hey did someone found a way to cast Platinum(Metallurgy4) parts in the smeltry? Only get Shiny part...
Erebus Jade shows that it has tool material properties (pretty good ones too) yet I am unable to make any parts with it.

Shiny is the same thing as Platinum. Or are there actually two different sets of tool parts now?
Molten Shiny = Platinum

Negative. Did not work.
