Um, as much as I would like for this mod to be revived, I'm pretty sure you're not supposed to distribute minecraft resources. (sorry if I'm misunderstanding this sentence) And if the SQ resources are to be extracted into the .minecraft folder I'm pretty sure there's an easier way to do that automatically if you're using Forge. Is the mod still editing base classes?
I'm not sure 100% on the obscenely old files or not. Check the main post of the thread for the DL link. If I am incorrect can a mod please poke me so I can remove them? I'm not trying to break any rules, it's just because of how obscenely old the files are for SQ and Minecraft this is literally the only way we can let players play it. There is no way to get it to work with the new Minecraft client
Also, for the new name for a wolf queen, what about The Alpha? I could imagine wolf queen/alpha gameplay like when you spawn, the model could be a retextured wolf. I mean, does everything have to be humanoid? Untamed wolves will follow you, tamed wolves from other players could also follow you and break their bond with their owner. When you get hit, all your following wolves attack whatever hurt you. You could also set a den spot, and an option to tell your wolves to go back to the den point. You also would get nightvision, and if you bite a mob, there's a chance you could infect them with a wolf virus, and they would become a wolf/whatever-they-were to follow you. You cannot infect any spider types or minions of another queen/king. It would be cool if you could infect humans
See? Im great am spamming ideas. Also thinking maybe the The Alpha could be a werewolf kind of creature if your against being just a plain retextured wolf.
Edit: Thought of a texture scheme. Maybe a wolf with white fur and blue eyes for a female, and red eyes and black fur for a male. That would just be awesome.

Also, will there be an official server for the mod? I was thinking about the suggested end royalties and heres some ideas:
-Twenty health, because Endermen have twenty health.
-Harmed by rain and water, putting a hat or boots on would solve each problem respectively.
-Well, you knew this was coming, the end infection idea is great for a mob like this. I don't know how you could distribute the end virus into mobs, but I could see them getting an endy texture and getting endy particles.
-Teleport ability. Possibly using the hud, you could have a have regen time before you teleport again.
-A putback would be being tall. Trying to go mining will be a pain, but a teleport ability could even this out.
-Like regular minions, ender mobs protect you.
There might be an official server at first. I do plan on giving out the multiplayer version regardless, free of charge, etc etc.
Seeing how popular this mod was, even if there isn't an official server, someone will probaly dedicate a server to this mod. Also, what did you think of those ideas? Is the Alpha a good name for the Wolf Queen?

If I knew java, I would say the way to go would be to re-write it completely. Using Forge and the Aether team's Player Core API as the backbone, I'm sure that those would allow you to do all the things you need to do to get the mod running properly in 1.6.2.

The download that Remseh put up was of the old 1.2.5 version that he got working again, I'm working on porting that to 1.6.
I currently have the player model changed, able to see in the dark and a slightly buggy version of shooting webs and am currently working on capturing the mobs.
A decent amount of work for a day but still no where near finished.

Brother I'll be honest with you, never apologize to me. You mean well and I can easily see that. We will probably merge the stuff with Forge as it makes the most amount of sense. We have essentially been bringing it up from scratch, we did keep the textures and models from the past though so that's something. -New items - Webbing, coccooned mob items, Rod, Egg, Webslinger, bee stingers, rare fruit, honey; possibly Hearts Skulls and Brains
-New blocks - hive blocks, programmed to appear on the side of trees in big clumps; spawns bee mobs
-Webbing crafting
-Webbing tiles when shot onto blocks
-Web bed working properly when webbing is shot between logs
-Pet spiders responding properly to player actions (following with rod, staying near rod when on ground, attacking enemies properly)

Originally, the player could kill humans for their skulls, hearts, and brains. And then, after that, an extensive amount of testing to insure everything works properly.
In short... a lot of stuff on one plate.
