I've been thinking for a while of making a way to sort of send quick messages to say what I am doing everyday on the modification. I've never had a Twitter account but from what I hear of Twitter, that sounds like a good way to share little blurps about what I am doing. I think there would also be some pressure to make sure I do keep with my 15 minute daily minimum (whether I feel like modding or not that day).
I think it is a good idea i am interested in your project although i don't use twitter myself it is certainly a good way to show what you have been doing.

Does this sound like a useful/meaningful idea?
YES! Since I use Twitter almost everyday (to view the progress on other mods most of the time), this would be very helpful for people like me and many others. It's especially useful for posting screenshots of content for future updates, which most mod authors do on there.

Alright ya'll, I think it over. ^^
------------------------------------------
In other news, I don't know what came over me, but I opened a blank environment and am putting the mod into it one class at a time, cleaning it all up. I intend to clean my animation API (you might call it) which needed clean up for a long time (since the days of Alpha 0.1). After learning a few things from Mowzie of Mowzie's Mobs, I need to change how I build my models and animating so I can do even greater things in the future.
That is sort of where this inspiration to start from a blank slate and re-add everything came from. Changing the animation classes and then changing the code for the 30+ dependent mobs and 6+ blocks was a bit more than I really wanted to deal with all at once.
I still want to make my mod open source, eventually...
I made the mistake of looking at a few other mods out there recently and I already feel like I am way behind. I don't have the animation/modeling quality edge I thought I once had. Very discouraging.
As I mentioned before, I am reprogramming every model in the modification from scratch. It's about a 3-8 hour process per model. I still have 9 remaining but most of the most difficult/longest ones are already done. After that, I have all the items to put back in and testing to make sure nothing broke in this heavy rewrite.
I hope to release Alpha 0.6 before the end of September.
Beyond that, I am strongly considering attempting to update Minecraft 1.8. I expect a long, hard process again, only this time with the Entity class. Again, discouraging.
I just constantly feel like I can't get ahead or make progress on this mod.
You can do it fuzzy and don't let things bring you down. I don't know much of coding but i know it can be very hard but i believe you can do it and no rush on 1.8 may even skip it as the words of 1.9.

Aww, thanks. ^^ I appreciate your kind words. I've thought about skipping 1.8 but I don't know how long it would take the forge team to get there and I would imagine 1.9 will be even more drastically different from 1.8.
Unless I run into a significant bug/gliche, I hope to release Alpha 0.6 this weekend. All I am doing now is bug testing and documentation between now and then.
Essentially 6 new mobs: Clay Shinx, Clay Luxio, Cuotl Ekans, Scrubby Darmanitan, Cujo Furfrou, and Vegnagun Dustox. Some new items/recipes, but nothing super special. The biggest addition to the game is that every model in the modification was reprogrammed, sometimes almost from scratch. Two mobs now have action animations based on the new hybrid system between my code and the Animation API: Clay Commander Meowstic-Male and Swordie Mienshao. All the models have been reprogrammed with the Morph modification in mind so people can have fun looking like some of the mobs in my modification if they use that mod too.
There might be some compatibility issues with this new system from watching other mods using the Animation API. I hope that does not become the case.

There, it is done and released. See the original post to download the new version of the mod. I didn't make a change log. Too much was changed at random times to remember everything that changed.
Read about the new mobs in the original post too. ^^
Now if you all excuse me... I am going to take a vacation from modding. At least not work on it as hard core, every day as I have been for the last two months or so.
Twitter for the modification?

What did I do to deserve this? Also, try creating a boss based off of Hoopa Unbound!
Current avatar: Ralsei from Deltarune.
What happened to you?
I'm a big fan of Pokemon, and corrupt Pokemon pretty much ruins it.
Current avatar: Ralsei from Deltarune.
Aww, that's too bad.

I don't intend to make a Hoopa boss.

I have like... 100 mobs I want to make already. xD I can't humanly manage to make everything I want let alone what others want.
*sigh*

Can't wait!
Will you be making any "bestial" mobs? (Corrupted Pokemon that take more inspiration from animals and prehistoric creatures)
Not sure what you mean by "bestial." Do you have an example?
