Seeing this thread is still active, makes me sometimes happy. As for the build 1, I am sure it is just around the corner as Davey is always busy (Can't tell how I know that). I know this is 4 days old but, this mod should focus on much more than just atmosphere. As "Too-DAMN-Much" mentioned already, the mobs should be more realistic, by that I mean like bulls harder to kill and the red lizards to drop another loot not related to magma cream or have it drop 50% or lower. I'm sure some of you just want the mobs, but I think they could fit in minecraft even better if balanced. Oh and I'm sure davey will come up with the solution for the sound bug
SkyTrix, to be honest, but it annoys me when people call salamanders "red lizards". Also, I think they should just drop salamander slimes to be a substitute for slimeballs. Better than having to search for slimes all day. Also, making all the mobs have decent drops and being very hard to kill will just make it like a lesser version of Mo' Creatures, which might be bad, and I don't want to happen. Anyway, I also hope Davey fixes his sound bug.
that's kinda what i meant about the red lizard balance thing, slimes are actually kinda rare and not very easy to find in vanilla, not sure how bad witches and the biome that spawns them naturally though.
honestly, i hope some of the mobs are difficult to kill where appropriate, but to be honest i was more just thinking "if you want the product of the cow, maybe you should have to deal with the horns to get more per", nothing wrong with difficulty so long as it's not confused with tedium.

i keep making the same mistake, i think "oh, i've given them a few months, surely it'll be fixed by now" THAT is why i seem to ALWAYS be angry to some of you, my advice is to get the lead out.
there were nice things here, until the mod author threw a tantrum.

Actually, I think the only mobs which should be pretty tough should be some of the land creatures.

yeah pretty much, just teasing though really, there wasn't really a problem i'd noticed in the 1.4.7 version with any of the mobs being far too easy to kill and i'm just thinking where appropriate + balancing the bull's extra leather if it even gets in.

Haven't been doing a lot of modding, but Ill try to do some tomorrow. If I can't get past the sound bug then build 1 will be without sound for now. Sorry guys!
Does anyone prefer a 1.5.2 release over 1.6? I might be able to arrange something.... maybe :3
I wouldn't mind a 1.5.2 release tbh. I'm quite unhappy with the amount of changes made in 1.6 code-wise, only because so many other authors are having a hard time updating their mods and getting them to actually work correctly. IMO 1.6 is still unstable territory for modded Minecraft - the mods that have gone 1.6 are still bugfixing for the most part.

I'd go for the 1.5.2, but all of the "update zombies" (zombies who wander around the forum eating the brains of the modders that haven't updated their mods.) make me say I'd prefer 1.6.2.

I wonder how unstable 1.7 will be... (shivers in fear)

IKR?
Mojang: We're adding new biomes and changing how terrain is generated!
I'm sure THAT won't have any effect on mods that deal with ore generation, structure generation, mob spawning, etc. /sarcasm

Don't know if it's been mentioned before, but the rl animals should be priority one and I'd rather see the fantasy creatures as some kind of addon.
If you want to add something that was missing from the previous version of the mod I'd like to see the animals heads added as trophys that you could collect and place on your wall/floor. Perhaps add a special block to mount the head on before you place it (something that you could write a line of text on would be awesome as well).
Well, just some suggestions. After what I've seen from previous Atmos I know this will be awesome either way

1.5.2 Please!
Also,I can't install it because I heard you can't install optifine with forge.
You have no idea how much my computer lags...
I have an old computer, and have noticed a lot more lag in 1.6.2 with only Forge, Optifine, and Rei's Minimap installed. Optifine has been great for helping old PCs play Minecraft smoothly in the past, but I may try removing it and see if there's any improvement.
1.6.2 is a great hurdle for most modders, but that's all the more reason to tackle it head on and then move on With 1.6.2 Mojang has finally implemented what is probably the largest and most complex stepping stone for the coming modding API. The next update will prolly be much easier. From my perspective Minecraft has been a learning experience for Mojang. They are constantly updating and improving the code. It's a dynamic living code-base that's getting more and more polish and sometimes the changes have to be drastic. We really need that modding API so that modding can be independent from the updates.
The 1.7 update will be adding new biomes and new terrain generation code. I hate to be a "doom and gloom" guy, but I cannot see this going well for many mod authors - ore/structure/biome-adding mods will all very likely be affected. The Mod API was first mentioned back in Alpha, and was talked about even at Minecon 2012... yet here we are. I'd love for it to happen, but my stance is "I'll believe it when I see it".

What do you guys think they grey wolf will be like?
I think it will be a bigger wolf, that acts a bit like a spider in aggressiveness, and is tameable only at day, with raw beef.
May be they are not tameable, they have a head wolf which guide their movement and attack, strong attack and health (might be each attack for 4 hearts and they have 25 hearts life)are their ability, they kill every kind of land creatures(even zombie, I think they like rotting flesh) during meal time or getting attack, after attack there will not have any meat drops

It's pretty easy.
Firstly you download the most recent version of forge installer.
Then you do the same with the mods in the mods folder.
