also, this mod is for 1.6.4, and I'm not updating anything I make to 1.7 until the mods I use are for that version as well. 1.6.x source would be helpful!
Hey, I am liking this mod, so to help you develop it, I will be the one reporting any new bugs as soon as I find them.
Bugs so far:
Can't place torches on Bettwr Wood fences (You already knew that in the bugs page)
Better wood fence's names end in "Fence gate" even if it isn't a fence gate.
Placing down a WIP Jungle sign actually places an oak sign, and when you break it you get an oak sign.
(Not a bug) When you start working on the signs some more, it should be like the tools, the sticks determine the handle, and the planks determine the sign's face wood type.
If you put better wood items in a workbench, you should get the vanilla version, because if you don't do this, modded tools and items will become uncraftable as well as modded items that required wood.
If I find more I will make another comment with the bugs in them.
Suggestion: Bring back vanilla recipes, as I see on Not Enough Items they were removed. Add New Nether Scary Sounds to All The Mobs that are already there
Add new nether sounds/songs more then the defaults.
Add sounds to specific locations in the nether such as a specific sound when you FIND a nether fortress it plays a errie sound.
ADD A DIFFRENT custom sounds to WITHER SKELETONS, make them sound werid.
Magma cubes to have gross sounds.
Maybe Add a Few Neher Biomes like:
Soul Sand Desert.-it would have glowstone beaches and the rest of the area is soul sand, and quick soul sand(very rare)
Abysal- made from "scorched Netherrack" this biome is jagged > its the nether verison of the Ice Spike Biome.
Mantle - has many gas cloud's that come through this area, all nether rack has a "fire particles on it" this biome is like the mushroom biome on the surface. there are "discusting and deformed mushrooms growing and glowing from the ceiling's
it would be cool just like theres a color pallet/foliage for grass blocks if there was a foliage for netherrack depending on how deep you where in the nether.
for example the regular nether is from 1-125 blocks deep
if you made a better nether mod or added to it.
it would be best if you made the nether 1-250 blocks deep
if the nether had those biomes BUT ALSO was divided into layers like this:
1-60 is "frozen area" it has the most hostile monsters, and has the ore's, diamond, gold, coal blocks and nether heart, hypertite. red murky Cloud's occasionally fly through this blackish blue nether region and void fog effects this area heavily, most ghost and tortured souls travel hear and are not hostile but they wale in pain.
60-99 is "Mantle Region" Lava Has a Redder color to it, and does more damage to players if they fall into it below in this region. nether rack is brighter red in this area and black clouds occasionally fly through this area.
many abandoned houses appear here....and when you go inside and explore they seem normal...but there not.
some of the rare abandoned homes have people inside offering quest's but when you return they sometimes turn out to be no longer homes and turn into demented small dungeon's. this area of the nether has small narrow caves and its cave system is separate from the above nether and separated from the below nether.
100-180 is the "Normal Nether" this is where YOU will spawn with your nether portal's just like before this looks like the same old same old nether, but there's new biomes here and new "layers" below and above this is where you can find Zombie Pigmen Villages, Cobblerack, and Vile Fungi, Scorch Shrooms and Nether Fortress's, Sulpher Town's, and 4 other nether community type places very light red clouds rarely fly through this region .
180-220 is the "Convection Zone" Its where the Nether has gold, Nirite, Dark Soul Gem, you can also find Pigmen Villages here and they will sometimes attack Zombie Pigmen villages, yellowish orange clouds can be found flying through this region.
220-250 is the Surface Nether. you can find regular stone, netherrack, emerald, lapis, coal in this region.
its very cramped and random obsidian can be found here.
MOBS would be:
Massurator: magma cubes that have mouths and like to obsorb "over world blocks" they obsorb any non nether blocks that may be on the ground and they do tons of durability damage to armour they posion players instead of setting them on fire
-found in matle zone.
Pigmen: they are like zombie pigmen accept they trade Gold for nether items and weapons and food.
-they can be found in the upper nether region known as the Convection zone and there villages have been known to be in the normal nether area. they attack zombie pigmen on sight. and they don't like to travel far from there villages
Zombie Pigmen: theres 2 types of zombie pigmen the regular vanilla zombie pigmen that will RUN away from pigmen and don't live In towns and will not trade with villager's.
and the second type of zombie pigmen that had a different loan cloth live in villages and are still afraid of regular pigmen and will trade for lapis.
ANGRY Zombie Pigmen: they kill pigmen on sight and hate players they DO NOT have weapons or swords but they can easily Find a sword to pick up and armour, they also can be in villages with regular zombie pigmen, attacking these guys will not provoke regular zombie pigmen but it will alert all angry zombie pigmen within 100 blocks of your precision.
Lost Spirit: they are not killable they wale and sometimes follow players and try to show players where dungeons and rare loot is.
they are scared by almost all nether mobs accept ghast and scorchers and Condemned Spirits.
Condemned Spirit: they are EVIL and will try to show HOSTILE MOBS where you are, and will try to trick you into going to bad places to get you hurt or killed. they like to say random lies to the players and like to taunt players and randomly scare players.
Undertow's are Lava Worms that like to swim in lava and attack players while players are in there "Iron Boat's or reinforced boats"
they CAN NOT set players on fire, and they CAN NOT break player boats. but they like to laugh and giggle when players get hurt.
they are very weak and very rare.
Life Leach are like silver fish and like to hide in Nether Brick's that are in nether fortresses and they like to hide inside chest's for when players break them, the life leach jumps at the player and screams and attacks them.
Maggot Swarm's: hoards of maggots travel in groups and thy have 1 hit point and they travel THROUGH netherack and they also usually they find "warm soul sad" by lava and they live inside there and will hurt players that get ontop the soul sand the maggots are swaming inside of.
-you can see which block there in because of the constant swarming animations they do while on a block.
Scorchers are Wither Skeletons that roam the land and like to shoot angry zombie pigmen, they are extremely tough and have about 80 hp and regen slowly while they eat rotten flesh or rotten pigmen flesh. they will attack players on sight and ARE NOT fire proof but they are very smart and will switch from the bow on there back to a iron sword and will try to circle players and attack them, if hurt a lot they will try to sprint away and eat food.
ALSO nether trees which are very rare grow on the ceiling of the nether or the walls

I use metadata for some items. Because i'm not very good on NBT.

Make vanilla sticks and wood still be usable, because I have lots of vanilla sticks I can't use in my survival world.

but im sure you have heard of "Nether X, or Nether Cows Mod, Or even Biome's o Plenty, or Hardcore Nether Mod"
they all make the nether difficult or etc...
but they do it in one of the most stupid of fashions.
they add SUPER op monsters or add tons of new creatures >.<
the Nether Shouldn't just be hard it should be scary.
