I'm sure you have heard of Neptune.
Well he could be a boss!
King Neptune's Castle:
Basically Neptune's dungeon- of course it has lots of gold and sea ores. There should be some mer-guards to protect the entrance to the castle. The main hallway has several rooms with either chests with items in there (either items you have in the mod or I can make them ) or lots of mer-guards just to annoy you. The end of the hallway would have Neptune's throne- made of gold and red wool because gold isn't very comfy. :3 Neptune's stats are up next:
King Neptune:
HP: 20 hearts
Attacks:
Spell:Uses a royal staff to cast a spell on you. Can be a good or bad potion affect.
Tail swoosh: knocks you at least 8 blocks away.
Also he can just hit you. Because why not.
If you want me to do more, ask!
Wow!! These are some really awesome Ideas!! XD
We will try to include them! (Keep on posting your ideas!!)
Cant wait till this comes out, I am defiantly going to review it and add it to a series of mine. Question though, do u have a idea for a release or Alpha of the mod yet and what version is it going to be released on, plz tell me 1.6.2, I need my Horse Vanilla to ride into this dimension!

I think that it is being worked on for whatever the latest version will be by the time coding becomes relevant. So far we're all just planning what will be in it first (/kicks butt into mob sketching after this post). You'll most likely have horses, as well as Hippocampi (or underwater horses) too! Don't worry.
Taking a horse for travel seems kind of irritating if most of the dimension will be ocean though lol.

Hey..didn't need to triple post there, Reptile. Not to nag but you could've edited the first post ya made. Usually double+ posting is only okay if it's the OP doing such for like reserved posts and etc. But, good to hear your progress though ouo
At least, double and etc posts aren't a fond thing on other forums I've been on. Sorry if that's not the case here, I just assumed.

If you mean Biome IDs, Carboniferous biomes were showing up in overworld because they were the same ID as BoP biomes. If you're talking about Item IDs, Butterfly Mania requires ID shifting almost unless it's the only mod being used. If you're talking about recipes... Again, you're either going to conflict if the arrangement already exists, or if you only use items by the mod, then it won't matter whether it's in a dimension or the overworld.

2) Allows us to add whatever we want without having to worry about other biomes/structures.
Unless you place in a filter for the biomes you add to the game, you're always going to have to worry about other biomes. Floating islands works in any dimension; whether it be Nether, End, or Twilight Forest. It's something I enjoy, but I believe the configuration file allows me the option to turn off certain biomes (in some cases, this means certain dimensions). As for worrying about other structures; if a structure has no filter on it, it may spawn in your added biomes. Likewise, if your own structures are filtered to only spawn in your own biomes, then it won't likely spawn in pre-existing biomes.

3) Allows us to create our OWN world
Isn't that what every Minecraft player in the world does? Create their own world? Do loading screens have to be a part of it?

4) Gives the player something completely NEW.
Wouldn't a living ocean also be something "completely new" for the player? Unmodded, the oceans are barren, at best. The squids that come with vanilla are a good start, but there could be so much more. And it doesn't all have to be entities. I'm sure several of the things you're planning on including in Oceanica Mod would fit just fine in the overworld. And players wouldn't have to build a portal that may or may not work in order to experience it. True, older worlds WOULD have to be further explored; but new worlds could very well spawn you in the middle of your new or altered biomes.

This is why its dimension
Honestly, this sounds more like a "Because I said so" list of reasons than actual arguments for why a mod would fit better as a dimension than in the overworld. I think that's a shame, because so few mods in the grand scheme of things focus on ocean and ocean-type biomes. But, it is your mod and I suppose there's no real way I can change how you do things. Good luck.

Sorry for my Team member for answering like that (I did not see it) My apologies
I'm the Creator of the mod I made a vote but people wanted a Dimension, Thanks for Posting here on the Forum!! If you have any ideas post them here
The biggest problem I see: To create huge underwater structures or just a really deep ocean you will have to raise the default waterlevel to like 200+?. This would collide with any of the default biomes.
Poersch You have my point of view, that's pretty much the main reason is a Dimension. XD
BTW. Nice seeing you again and Awesome Banner XD
Thanks! Yours looks neat as well.
Is there already a possible release date for a beta of your mod? Would love to play around with the possibilities of underwater leaves (coral trees)!
