Flenix has an in-progress 1.7.10 build on his site but I tested it and he's completely changed the way it works.. so its not compatible.
I really want to update to at least 1.7.10 but I now have miles of roads that I'd lose. Gutted
Anyone any ideas?
Is there another mod that has different height blocks?
If you could get a 2/3 height block, you could use it as a road block replacement.
There's a Forge version of WorldEdit - you can install it on either your client or server and build roads really quickly using the //set or //stack commands. I got miles of roads on my server in about an hour doing it
@Everyone else - no, this mod never was dead. As the original post currently says, I just stopped updating the forums here, because my posts kept breaking and it was annoying me. It's on CurseForge or my website link has always been there too
I would like to report two minor but annoying bugs.
One involves all the "line paints" and the normal-sized (16/16) road block. The lines won't connect to each other when one is placed on a custom size block and one on the normal size block as shown in these screenshots:
The second involves the Yellow Single Line Paint when you place it facing East to West as it'll show up like this as opposed to North and South:
Also, the names for both the white and yellow double line paints have their names mixed up (also applies for the diagonal variants)
Flenix, I spotted another bug. On the double stripes (white and yellow) the textures have swapped. What I mean is the white double stripe is yellow and visa versa. Same with the diagonals. Maybe you could fix that for another release (don't bother realeasing a release just for bugs unless you want to!) Also there are 2 mysterious '?' paints with no texture
I'd say the white/yellow is more of a naming issue than a texture issue, so you're safe to use them the way they look and I'll just rename them.
The "?" are just because of how I implement blocks. They will probably be the "Slow" and "Stop" paints I mentioned in my message - I get 4 blocks per block ID and it registers all 4 at once because of how I wrote it
Evilmerodac I have flans ye old and manus civil packs and I have a runway just like you and it doesn't happen to me. Although I wish I could land the stupid things right, the wheels always drop off and IDK why.
Because Flan's vehicles aren't great for collisions. I made FR for flans originally, but it's never worked well with my roads. I gave up trying a looong time ago, I just use MCHeli instead
maybe he actually saw you message and fixed bugs on his mod so it can be compatible for yours!
Maybe. My main gripe with Flan was back at the start of 1.7 - remember how cars could drive up walls? I sent him some psuedocode of how he could fix that bug with just a few lines of code, and he brushed it off saying it's "more complicated than that". few months later did exactly what I said and was like YAY I FIXED IT.
But hey, if it's working now then I'm happy. Flan got me into coding and I've earned a decent amount of ad revenue to buy a new PC with so I can't complain at him
Flenix, can I post your mods updates on Miiverse please? It is social interaction app for the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U. Also it will attract more views because I posted about the 1.8 update to Crayfish's Furniture mod, and it got lots of likes (by lots I meant 5 but that is a lot because most of the time others ignore you.
So long as it's just a link back to this post, that's fine - don't upload the .jar.
Still backburner I'm afraid Although if you suggest some recipes to work temporarily I can add them.
I posted a basic description for crafting recipes in the PMC post but i'll try expand on that here:
I'm not sure what material the blocks are made out of but for the colored tarmac blocks use the stock minecraft dyes to change a standard tarmac block, you would put 8 tarmac blocks in the crafting table and put a dye in the middle (just like how you would dye glass blocks), for the making of varied heights of tarmac, (I think you have a jackhammer item, I don't fully remember) use either a jackhammer or pickaxe by left clicking on a full block of tarmac to "chip" one layer away at a time (as your blocks can vary in size from 1 pixel to a full 16) and each time you chip away at it one single pixel high tarmac piece (or block level) will chip off and the main block will lower it's height by 1 pixel (or change to the next size down if you will). support for chisel mod would be good for this purpose as an alternate and also for changing the road paint (from lines to letters and symboles), or for the paint, right click the tarmac block with either a special paint brush tool (that could save what pattern your currently using) or just right click the tarmac with whatever color dye you need for that color line, that would open up a GUI with the different patterns in it and you could select what pattern to apply to that block, the GUI thing seems kind of slow for single block use hence why I suggested the paint brush tool.
I hope that clears that up and is easy to understand, feel free to PM me if you need any more details or explanation, also, I had to do the countdown and button twice on adfly to finally get the mod download.
