Smart people. Archemedes Ships is cool and all, but it really doesn't have the same potential as this. My main issues with Archemedes Ships are that entities can't attach to ships and that having ship versus ship cobat is difficult.
Archemedes Ships is pretty much what this was going to be, it works pretty much the same as I remember aside the added the need to crash baloons/floaters to make ships but with needing you to sit tight so you don't fall off and have the craft fly away.
There is also the Metaworlds modthat has achieved allowing blocks to sit at any angel and still be interacted with letting you craft huge ships that fly while allowing you to wonder about on it.
I hope your version of this mod will release remote controls and airships soon! Submarines will not be for a while though as I said on planet minecraft... Then again, you already did water displacement I think, so they might come out sooner than I expected!

Yay! Zeppelin mod never actually got ships working properly. Their forum page said that ships were unstable and unrecommended due to the water.
