YES! I have been looking for something like this for ages! Traincraft is cool... but seriously. Trains don't run on small, one meter wide minecartracks. I have been hoping someone would make a three block wide train and rails! And finaly it is happening! The rails even look great. Im suprised that it happend, and realy exited for the resoult.
They actually do.
But minecraft gauge is 0,5 m. However, they still do.
Yws, some rails do. But not those I think of And I still think that the minecartrails in vanilla Minecraft is to small for a train to use. So keep up the good work with this new, wide rails!
TrainCraft is fun and all, but still unrealistic. This, however, is a bona-fide proper train mod with wide rails. There have been several projects that have tried to get one locomotive to work on wide rails, you - as far as I know - are the only person to succeed.
My god, this might be the best thing since sliced bread. I love Trainsmod and all, but this could be a big competitor if it turns out well. The issue with Trainsmod is the small, 1 meter-ish wide rails, really restrict modeling leading to some funky looking trains.
I hope this turns out well. Keep (Litteral) buffers in mind my good friend. I want to be able to "cap" my tracks.
Just a few quick questions. You are planing to be able to make it in to trains, right? So you can pull wagons like TrainCraft, not push like in normal Minecraft?
Second, are you planing to make working switch tracks?
Third: Are you thinking of making overhead lines for electrick trains?
Last one: Are you planing to add "advanced" tracks like Railcraft? Like a holdingtrack, detector track and so on?
REMEMBER! This is just questions, not exspectations.
Do you think you can do early electric trains with overhead lines? I was thinking loco's and cars along the lines lke this http://www.plugincars.com/sites/default/files/electrictrain.jpg
or maybe

any others would be fine, but preferably around the 1900's...

First, this is amazing.
Second, thank you.

Half, half-meter-ish wide rails -___-
And i actually keep some buffers in my mind
