Hello, Naiten. I updated my mc to 1.8.9 .
if you always want to update row to a newer version than 1.7.10 , there is not problems for me anymore. sorry if this post seem to be an "ask for update" (it's not one). it just a last post that will close the old conversation many months ago.
To rephrase a tiny bit. 1.7.10 does work on some updated version of MC but not all. Newer versions like 1.10.11 have had revisions and changes made to where certain features in the 1.7.10 build doesn't work or don't show up, so while this may help with some newer versions, it won't help with all newer versions.
Also, if you want updates on what's coming, Twitter seems to be the place to be.
For those dying for new information, this video was also posted a few days ago and shows the enormous leaps the mod will be taking in terms of physics and realism. I feel this is very impressive and very handy at this early stage of the code restructure/rebuilding.

Sadly development isn't an easy thing to quantify with limited time. As many who have worked on projects who take much longer than originally thought this mod is also that way, it takes time and a lot of it at times. Think of it this way, you may think this is the next Half Life 3 with all the requests for time but is anything it's most likely closer to Stardew Valley or Fez, long dev times that are more than worth the wait.
I don't know why, but when I placed down a curved track, it shut down my game and sent me to the multiplayer screen.. I placed down a train and the game crashed.

What I actually mean is in the 1.10.2 versions the trains cannot go on the track properly and you can pace them anywhere but in the next build will you fix that?
Please see video attached on last page about coupling. Curves and pathing were found out long ago, the 1.10.2 version that the public can download is a very old build. When a proper, possibly stable, release comes out you can expect to find pathing, curves, coupling, and physics to all be part of it, will it cause all new bugs? Only time will tell.

B to toggle brakes
R to increase the reverse
Y to increase the regulator
for the rest of the keys go to options and controls
to fuel the steam loco right click the hitbox with coal (to show the hitbox press F3 and B )
to fuel the aku loco you need the batteries from the RoW inventory
to couple two train you need to hit the two rolling stock with the pry bar (use the hitbox as help)
to destroy the rolling stocks use shift and right click
