that's a matter of perspective. I'm sure there is not train related mod as detailed as this, but i'm sure there are one or two mods that are more detailed.

After I looked at the pictures, they look AWESOME!
1. I take my words back.
2. What is that map?
3. I am downloading.
I plan to post this on PMC but its currently only a yard, every month I plan to have an add on to the route. Speaking of witch the first release should be coming out today, depends if people want it now or they want me to build and post the first release next month. Please reply. I'm doing this on a majority rules vote say: (Post now) or (Post later). Also it's nice to see your onboard with RoW now Kian.

I agree with trainmod56 here... I love ROW dearly, but I don't think it has any place in vanilla mine craft... It just isn't for everyone- not to mention its so far beyond anything already in the game... It'd be out of place for someone not accustomed to its level of greatness....
dude, look at vanilla minecraft, the only mod that seems like it would fit in to it is none
Actually the only mods that would fit in tend to be ones Mojang modified themselves then added. Horses an a few other animals were inspired by MoCreatures, Pistons were a mod, heck even the upcoming Seasons that Mojang's been playing with was an idea turned into a mod, though whom came first is something I don't know. Rails of War on the other hand do one thing all the other mods didn't... It changes the time period. Mojang has gone on record claiming vanilla Minecraft is in a medieval time period an thus why cars, trains, planes, etc will never exist. They even tried to figure out a way to make pistons fit in with it that theme.
For them to attempt to make this vanilla would be for them to ruin their own theming an changing the game thus making other vehicles like cars an planes possible. An while this might make some people happy, I'm personally of the opinion that we should let Mojang do their own thing instead of trying to impose on them what we think should be vanilla, because most of the time, the consumer is in fact, wrong.

Cheers, amazing point, and after all that's why Mojang allows modding. They could be like other games that pretty much ban you from the game for modding but there're not.
Ok I get you. But let me put it this way, aren't you annoyed that if you want to play with your friends, you have to make them install forge and then this mod and all the stuff! Whereas if this was in vanilla u could make a normal vanilla server and still have a fun train ride with your friends! Wouldn't that be better and EASIER than doing all the mumbo jumbo to install forge, mods etc?
Implementing a mod to vanilla minecraft just because it looked "pretty" or seemed "realistic" is a bad idea in general. First, implementing this into the game would take AGES due to the amount of time debugging and adding new things to the mod would take since all of it is of such high quality.
Secondly, how do you think the modding community would react to this getting implemented instead of a much more useful or simple mod? Mod devolpers would be outraged that this mod, with its uselessness and little appeal to the general community, would be fit to be added to the game. Currently, RoW is practically useless on just a singleplayer survival world, and only servers with a large playerbase would find a real use for this to improve their server's economies and transportation methods. Plus, the only people that would be thrilled to have this implemented would be railfans and kids looking for more ways to kill each other. For a mod to be sucessful when implemented into vanilla minecraft, it must not only have a certain usefulness, but also appeal to most, if not all, of the community.

Also Spy's are bloody useless
I don't think its possible unless you don't place down engines. It *might* be fixed when Naiten releases the overhaul, whenever that is.
