darn. just ran a test run and it doesn't look like it stuck. guess that feature is only for people not using mob spawn controls. oh well, its the thought that counts

Ok, I've did a quick check and indeed mob spawn controls doesn't seem to read that data. However I would suggest using Spawn Rules that does and I find it easier to use.

would if i could, but its not compatible with one of the mods im using im afraid...no idea witch one (im using a crap ton >.>) but its ok, ill live without it
heres an idea for you to consider, you could try make better dungeons more bop friendly...quite a few of the biome specific dungeons would fit in nicely with some of the bop biomes, and it would be nice to find something other than a mineshaft once in awhile lol. just an idea for the future.
ps: hopefully im not bothering you with all my posts, if i am feel free to tell me and i will only post in emergencies lol i know i can get annoying.
So i downloaded all the recomended mods and stuff and spawning in vannilla biomes still works for Mo Creatures (The only mod I need be concerned about here) but in the BoP biomes they wouldn't spawn so i was wondering exactly how you had configured Mo Creatures for optimal compatibility with your add-on? Thanks.
EDIT: I did change pretty much all the item ID's for BoP to allow it to fit in with my other mods... Will This affect it?..
I have tested it with default settings of Mo' Creatures if I recall correctly.
The changes don't matter. I take the IDs from BOP directly, so if you changed something it gives me changed IDs.
No, it doesn't. I might look into it, but it doesn't actually fit into the add-on (as it integrates BOP with something). You can definitely use Essentia Everything.
Ok, maybe i did something wrong but in the worlds where i enable your mod no BoP biomes aren't created and the only Mo Creatures mobs i have seen are in these vanilla biomes when your mod is dissabled... Dunno if that helps, i can provide more info if you'd like it?
If there are no BoP biomes, then you probably didn't select the proper World Type. You must either do one of these things:
1. When creating a world click the More World Options and under the World Type click until it says Biomes O' Plenty.
2. You can use default world type, but then you have to change "Add Biomes To Default World" in BiomesOPlenty.cfg config file to true.
Nice job on Mo Creatures. I'd actually set up an MSC config for BOP and Mo Creatures a long time ago, and then lost it. Definitely wasn't going through that nightmare again, so I just dumped Mo Creatures.
Until now!
Did notice however that spawn numbers in BOP biomes are like a quarter of what they are in vanilla biomes. I turned up spawn rates a bit to compensate, but now my ice plains are crammed full of polar bears.

Any way to even them out a bit?
What I did was I divided BOP biomes into few categories (deserts, jungles, plains, arctic, swamps, etc.). And registered mobs for those groups. I intended my mod as a quick fix for some problems between mods, that's why I don't register for example every mob to every biome separately. You can definitely tweak it using Spawn Rules mod. However if you say it's really annoying I might add some exceptions.
Thankyou, with these steps the world now loads correctly and creatures appear in the correct biomes. However the frequency with which they spawn is very low, even when i set the spawn caps on the mo' creatures options to several hundred. Is there a way to increase the number of mobs your mod allows to spawn without Spawn Rules or Forge Mob Spawner?
I'm not certain how do Mo' Creatures decide how often something spawns. As I said above, I intended this mod to be a quick fix. I set all the values exactly as Mo' Creatures does for vanilla biomes. I'm not really deciding how often something spawns, I only registered where it does.
How did you get this to work? I'm trying to get compatibility for these mods into Highlands and it seems like it could be done in a similar way to Biomes o Plenty. I already have a working solution for Mo'Creatures that seems like it works very similar to yours, but I'm stuck on the other mods, especially Forestry.

For Forestry and Thaumcraft I simply used their APIs (they can be found alongside the mods).
With Thaumcraft I used methods like registerObjectTag() and registerBiomeInfo() (the first one adds Aspects to blocks and Items, the second registers thaumcraft specific info for biomes).
With Forestry I didn't do much for now - simply used fermenterManager.addRecipe() to add BOP specific recipes for the fermenter.
So should I use Spawn Controls over this? Or can I use it in conjunction with BoP Integration? Because I'm using your mod for Mo' Creatures, but I do like the the Foresty integration. And one more thing, the custom spawner that Mo' Creatures requires, does it work with Spawn Controls? Or do I have to remove the custom spawner. Thumbs up for a helpful mod and it'll be much appreciated with any help you can provide.
This doesn't seem to work for me very well with Biomes O Plenty and Mo Creatures. No day time mobs are spawning whatsoever. Not sure what to do.
What settings do you have for Mo Creatures? I've tested it with the default and it was working just fine. I'll probably have to look more into it then and test some more.

I don't know exactly how Spawn Controls work, but I don't think there should be any problems with using it in conjunction with my mod. However if you have Spawn Controls already set, it is possible to disable my integration in the config file.
As for the Custom Spawner as far as I know it is necessary to run Mo Creatures and it won't start without it. For sure you can disable it in Mo Creatures config. Also, in the Spawn Controls forum post it is said how to configure it to work with Mo Creatures.
Personally I would recommend using Spawn Rules - I know it works well with my mod and I find it easier to use than Spawn Controls.
Also, I would like to apologize that there are no new updates. I'm a bit busy lately. Most likely I'll wait until all the mods are updated to 1.5 and are quite stable, and then I'll update my mod.
Does your mod add Forestry beehives to BoP biomes, or was Forestry doing that on it's own?
I ask because I've upgraded to 1.5.1, and am using the beta version of Forestry for 1.5.1 (available by searching "beta" on the forestry wiki. And is linked to from the 1.5.1 section of the modlist.). When I was playing under 1.4.7, there were beehives everywhere, but in the world I started under 1.5.1, I have yet to see even one.
If they were only in BoP biomes because you were adding them there, that would explain why I'm not finding them in the Forestry beta .

Has this integration been updated for Minecraft 1.5.1? I really want to use Mo Creatures and Biomes O' Plenty and have the mobs spawning in your biomes.
Well, you don't need my add-on to use Mo' Creatures with Biomes O' Plenty as of 1.5.1. Dr Zhark changed the way he registers mobs in the newest version and he added support for Biomes O' Plenty. Now everything works just fine on it's own.
As for other integration options - still waiting for other mods to update. In the meantime I'm working with ted80 and Adubbz on BOP itself, so lets hope my integration won't be needed in the future
Just out of curiosity, I had a peek at your code. I noticed something odd in the MoCreaturesIntegration file: when you register the entities, you give all of them the wraith's spawn rate.
Is that intentional? I noticed some people mentioning that they're getting fewer animals spawning in BOP biomes... if they had the wraith's spawn rate turned down low, that could be why.

Does it include MoCreatures items?

For your next integration project, may I request Project Zulu?
http://www.minecraft...ui-mob-spawner/
It was only ever made ExtrabiomesXL compatible (As is the case with most biome-reliant mods.)
Might be quite a bit of work, though
Nevermind. Looks like it's super-configurable with config files, and I never realized.
