Minecraft seems to crash (I can't even get to the login screen) when i have this mod installed. Not sure what the issue is, but here's the crash report if anyone happens to be able to help, it would be greatly appreciated! Looks like your smallboats.cfg file got munged -- try deleting it.
Quick question, When might the next update be, and if/when it comes out, what should we be expecting.
I was hoping to have an update out this weekend, but I've gotten slammed with "real work" (the kind that pays the bills). Heavy sprint, long days, will probably be working all weekend.
I wanted to have walking on decks working for the next release, but I may have to forgo that in order to get a release out with a few bug fixes.
Tellya what... I'll draw a line in the sand. Whatever I have next weekend (working or not), as long is it isn't totally borked, I'll post it.

Personally, I'd be more interested in the advanced control system than walking on decks, but if that's going to take more work I can understand it being left for later.
If that's going to take longer, could we at least get a temporary throttle so we don't have to keep holding down W?

When there is time, say after the 1.6.2 releases stabilize, would it be possible to add a couple more boat models? I'd kill for a generic longship, galley, knarr, or cog.

Fixed my previous problem, but now I'm getting a different issue Server starts up just fine, but then as SOON as someone logs in, this message starts getting spammed on the console: "[WARNING] [ForgeModLoader] !! parent is missing parts". And this ONLY occurs when i have small boats installed. The warning spam doesn't happen if small boats is not installed.
How about custom ships?
Ex. Put model file in one folder, put the texture in another, then put all the data in a config for canons, speed, rudder/sail position, ect.

Also, the way vanilla boats are controlled was changed in 1.6, so you might want to change that too to match that, if it isn't too much trouble.

That message occurs when the child entities get disconnected from the parent. If you remove smallboats.jar and load the map, all the errant entities should be removed. If you put smallboats back in and you still get the message, then you have an entity ID conflict caused by another mod.

Hmm... I don't recall resetting anything, will have to look into that.
I don't like the new control scheme, so I changed it. You can get the same controls (more or less) with the Ctrl key (or whatever you set it to).
It's something forestry bee related, as the recipe for the punt gives me an advanced apiarists pipe instead for some odd reason. (does make the apirarists pipe damn cheaper to make though! )
it would be nice if there is a room in big boat and the boat keeps moving if we are in the room.To turn the boat or stop there should be some kind of control that is on deck.

Quick question, When might the next update be, and if/when it comes out, what should we be expecting.
I was hoping to have an update out this weekend, but I've gotten slammed with "real work" (the kind that pays the bills). Heavy sprint, long days, will probably be working all weekend.
I wanted to have walking on decks working for the next release, but I may have to forgo that in order to get a release out with a few bug fixes.
Tellya what... I'll draw a line in the sand. Whatever I have next weekend (working or not), as long is it isn't totally borked, I'll post it.

Personally, I'd be more interested in the advanced control system than walking on decks, but if that's going to take more work I can understand it being left for later.
If that's going to take longer, could we at least get a temporary throttle so we don't have to keep holding down W?

Also, the way vanilla boats are controlled was changed in 1.6, so you might want to change that too to match that, if it isn't too much trouble.
That message occurs when the child entities get disconnected from the parent. If you remove smallboats.jar and load the map, all the errant entities should be removed. If you put smallboats back in and you still get the message, then you have an entity ID conflict caused by another mod.
Sounds like you're running the wrong version of smallboats.
Hmm... I don't recall resetting anything, will have to look into that.
I don't like the new control scheme, so I changed it. You can get the same controls (more or less) with the Ctrl key (or whatever you set it to).
Probably an entity ID conflict. Look in the cfg files and change the entity IDs so they don't conflict.
Because everybody knows that the wind is always blowing and in the direction that you need to go.
it would be nice if there is a room in big boat and the boat keeps moving if we are in the room.To turn the boat or stop there should be some kind of control that is on deck.
What do you think about it?
