Quick update, we have decided looks are just as important to us as feel and gameplay, so we will be making the features of this mod HD. That means the mob skins, items, and blocks will all have HD graphics. To some of you this may be annoying, but the thing is, we couldn't tell any of the weapons apart, it was way too hard to make them in the default resolution.
What does this mean?
1) well for starters, we will be taking a good look at the Bordercraft texturepack, and will try to make everything fit in with that, so for everyone out there who wants to go full Borderlands 2 you won't need any expansion to the texturepack.
2) Because items get glitchy when in HD you may have to patch the game, and if that is the case we will try to do that automatically, so you don't have to (but no promises as I don't know if we can...)
3) Once we get deeper into it we WILL offer 2 versions, the HD and a default texture, although we will not post any pictures of the default texture and, if you do get the regular mc texture version, as Sir Hammerlock puts it, "...Then you are sad, I have no desire to speak with you further."
And a note from NurseSharks, the Midget skin will make the other skins look bad because it will be HD and they aren't, so as soon as we post the Mdiget picture he is going back and reskinning the others to HD.

Yay hd textures woot! But if you dont mind me asking what resolution do you plan to use 32x32, 64x64 etc... And I hope that we get a midget pic soon
You can do Weapons but not 670 bazzilions of weapons you will must add random textures and random abbilities to these weapons... yeah and random spawning. But your mod look like cool ;-)
Trust me if we could add tons of weapons we would, but the thing is, the game would just lag too much and the mod would become incompatible with everything because we would be taking up all the available item ids. As it is, we are adding about 5 of each weapon type, of each brand. that means about 30-40 weapons of each type. Then they all have randomized stats, so don't worry. It will feel like borderlands 2. Plus, if we can add random textures, then 5 random textures for each gun turns 30-40 into 150-200 of each weapon type. Just like that, so don't worry : )

I'm not exactly sure, either 32x32 or 64x64 though, nothing higher... I think. I'm almost positive. And as for the Midget expect that some time this weekend. NurseSharks has been a tad busy but told me He will finish it by then.

We are adding different types of creatures, and some with elements, but I am more talking about a regular Rakk. Likewise, the only Skag we have made so far is the Pup Skag. The next mob will be the Monglet. We are starting with the weakest then going up.

Great Midget! Btw, I was wondering if you could put things like a 1% chance for a jack with hyperion guards, or angel oreven a tiny chance for a hyperion base or sawtooth camp. Also you could make friendly slab camps and put them near hostile sawtooth camps and they could fight.You should also make it for bukkit and etc. for multiplayer. Stalkers should be added also! They can even have there pods and bug terrain stuff and slime in the area they're in... Well Yeah

We are not going to be adding Jack or Hyperion. We considered it, but decided against it on two major accounts; 1) Hyperion is strictly tech, and it doesn't really fit in with vanilla minecraft all that much (that is why we were originally not going to add Claptrap). 2) We just couldn't add Jack without then adding a storyline and quests related to defeating him, and that takes away from the main goal of this mod. Remember, we want this mod to add features from Borderlands 2 to Minecraft, but not change why you play the game (completely).
The bandit camp things, do you mean different 'factions' that will naturally fight eachother? If so maybe, we will consider it.
Stalkers are I believed in the planned features section, but we won't be adding a bug biome.
And finally multiplayer. I would love to be able to, honestly I would. If we could make this for bukkit that would be amazing, but Bukkit doesn't support new items, blocks, and mobs. To add these to bukkit we need to use Spout and Spoutcraft, and even then we still wouldn't be able to add the mobs. And quite honestly none of us want to learn 3 new coding things. We are already having to learn Forge as it is more popular and more wanted than Modloader. Eventually we will try making the mod for multiplayer by using Forge Multiplayer, but we can't do it with Bukkit. Also, any singleplayer mod now works on LAN (or most do anyways). This one already does (we have been doing testing over LAN).
I am glad for your enthusiasm, and I am really sorry all my responses were negative, I really wish I could have said yes to them all. I'm also glad you like the Midget model, I will pass that along to NurseShark! Thanks for your ideas and support.

The first Alpha release (the closed alpha), will have A pup skag that can move (although the animation won't be the final one), and that can hurt you (by running up against you). It will also have 2 weapons and ammo. Ammo will be items instead of non-item pick ups (like exp orbs), and the two guns will be a pistol and a SMG. Tell will both not have elements and neither will have any changing stats. We are just trying to make sure things are working right now.
The closed Alpha test will hopefully happen friday, November 23rd. Apply now! (application on main topic post).
