Well good to know this mod isnt dead and who cares if it takes a while just take your time. Anybody who gets mad about this, well, just dont pay any attention to them I wish you luck in your finals and try not to let this die.

About the guns, most people start off the guns by changing the bow until they get the texture, but it still shoots arrows. Then they change the arrows, th.en the damage, and then the sounds. Basically they base it off the bows

That's what we did, we have the guns and they are basically what you just said, but we can't get rid of the drawback and delay.
Hmmmm... I'd just ask other modders that make gun mods what they've done to fix things like that or edit it. Is there an option to do this: press button delay time=... make sprite/object appear (Object which is bullet) or code for that? I know how programing works just maybe not minecraft in specific. Have you tried that? See if you could find how the bow's timing was originally made and how they made the certain time and then do it except edit the code to where the timing is different.Can't help much more if that doesn't work though.

Thanks, ill check it out! we tried messing with getMaxItemUseDuration and it didn't do what we wanted, but maybe we did it wrong. Once i get back to my computer i do modding on ill check all this out, thanks so much.

Good to know! Got my minecraft working again! For some weird reason, one update modloader had ruined it, but when I got to minecraft 1.4.6 it started working again!

I think this may be dead, we have all sort of lost interest. If we ever regain interest we will start it again but basically we haven't been working on it. I just got a new computer, and i thought that would spur me on to continue because my other computer couldn't do anything, but now when im on the computer I spend most of my time on Steam or Guild Wars II. We all rarely play Minecraft anymore anyways. Sorry everyone. Also I was never able to get the guns working so that was a huge let-down.
So we have all agreed we don't want this to die, but we also have other stuff we want to do more than this. We will continue working on this mod, but it will be something we do while we are bored, while we are waiting for something to download, etc. Eventually we will get enough done to release a new version.
We have also come up with a new idea.
