you should check out Direwolf20's SMP lets play. He talks to a lot of the mod authors and is playing on beta versions of a majority of the mods that will be in the mod pack.
From either reading somewhere or watching direwolf, I believe the launcher is going to be based on or written by the MultiMC author.
Which would probably mean that we can still have a vanilla .jar to use. If he could pull it off once . . .

Progress? The launcher is currently being written. The forums are being finished off and about 3 of the 30 plus mods that are in the pack are updated to 1.3.2. So yeah the launcher needs to be finished off. Around 30 mods still need to be updated. Then they all need to be updated to bukkit ports. After that we then need to get them all together and working correctly. Set up the server side, organise the texture packs etc etc.
Bless you for trying man, but is it possible we could get the files for 1.2.5 since they are more readily available?
Will I be able to remove a segment of this that I don't want when I download it?
No, at launch perhaps, but it's not planned to be a dynamic downloader for mods in the pack. Optional extras (fe Optifine) will probably be downloaded dynamic.
To be honest, Im glad it wont be in this pack. I tried installing it and for one it has hardcoded item/block ids that conflict with buildcraft, and even without it, some people can not run it at all.
There are other creature mods besides mo' creatures.
I really like Pam's mods, Trees++, and the Zepplin mod, though I can see why none of them 'fit' into this modpack.
The bunyen mod does though. That would fit quite well.

I use the FTB modpack, because it's fun, and extremely convenient.

Bunyan works as an addon to ExtraBiomesXL, right?

70% of people have signatures that try and boost their superiority complexes. Post this if you're a hypocrite.
This one is more general-purpose, though. It's even got a launcher. It wasn't designed specifically just for FTB, though that would probably be in there, too.

Its basically the same thing as the techniclauncher, only difference is that a mods have been swapped out and forestry is actually included in this. (had to be taken outta technic for issues with forestry's owner'). And by the time this comes out, the technicpack will most likely have BC 3 and EE3. Why dont they just work together, and make an actual epic modpack and not a fan war
I am unable to receive my activation email... *Sighs* Here I was thinking of using mystcraft to create books to various maps including spellbound caves, castaway island, and perhaps a few others...

THAT would be the excellent, correct, truth-bearing answer. Should be copied and pasted on any of the mods in FTB pack (or elsewhere for that matter), whenever either of those "T" words comes up

F.A.Q.
Q.: Can I include your mod in my modpack?
A.: I'm sorry, but no. Please do not PM me about it. The answer is still no.
So safe bet it wont be in the pack.

Yeah Krapht develops both but for now Logistics Pipes are staying as their own BC addon
This ain't a map, man.

I'm having a hard time thinking of anything besides "**** The Bourgeois"
Surely that isn't the answer. Unless it is
