I think I ran into the same problem a couple days ago when I was replacing all my civics. I know it doesn't like it when you try and set the bound on a crop, tall grass, or sapling. It skips all the steps and gives you a 1x1x1 cube as a bounding box. If this is the case, simply place the civic next to it and try again without clicking on a plant. (it fixed my problems)

The issue with losing research sounds like it is a bug (one that I've been trying to solve for awhile now, and thought I had finally fixed). I will do some investigation on this, and let you know what I find / release an update to fix it.
The research notes spamming twice is likely also a bug, it sounds like I did not check for world-client status before displaying the message. This one should be pretty easy to fix, expect it in the next update.
I'll do what I can to find a resolution to this soon/fast, as it is a fairly critical/game breaking bug.

You are correct -- currently the AW_GAME_DATA.dat file should store research data, structure generation data, saved non-block based ticked builders (creative mode structure generators), and saved npc-status data.
I'm slowly working on breaking these out into their own data-classes -- both for easier editing if needed, and for cleaner separation in the code.
I will likely have an updated release available that should fix this sometime tomorrow (possibly tonight if I don't end up busy with other things). I've split the research data off into its own file, however the system is setup such that it should still load any old-format research data if it is present (so there should not be any loss of research progress if you had some saved previously).
Sorry for the inconvenience this has caused, and hopefully you'll see a fix for it soon (fix is already done in dev-code, but I need to run it through some testing before release)

try updating forge to 9.11.1.965 the log shows you are on 9.11.1.935 I know that version works.
The block break events recently added were not in the older versions of forge .

As TechStack pointed out -- please try updating to a newer version of forge. Forge .953 through 965 should all work fine.
(I use 953 at home for my installs, and I am using 965 for dev purposes).
Some of the recently added features rely on code that was not present in earlier forge versions, apparently the FakePlayerFactory being one of them.

In order to add structures to the drafting table either flag them for survival when they are scanned, or edit the template and find the 'survival=false' line and change it to 'survival=true'.
Keep in mind however, that I have only flagged by default those structures that I have tested the resource list on. The resource-lists are compiled automatically when the structure is scanned, but may need some manual editing to make them work (e.g. it may list an unobtainable 'grass' block, which you may need to replace with the id for dirt). I have done some in-code correction for these IDs when compiling it, so most vanilla blocks should be handled appropriately, but I know that several mod blocks will likely still have issues.

Could you go into more detail in this subject. My issue is that when I go to list the scructures i dont see anything, it works great in single/creative mode but for some reason I can not figure out the survival/server, I have changed the config file to "true" but it has the same results. I'm not sure what structure-list you are referring to (there are several, some in items, some in crafting tables)?
In survival mode in order to create a structure you need to do the following:
Go to the drafting table, select a structure to create (no research book necessary). Hit 'start' or whatever, and start feeding it blocks until it is done. It should produce an item when finished. (this item does have a selection GUI if in creative mode, but in survival it should be locked to whatever was set from the crafting table) Take this item, find the place you want to construct it at. Clear the area of any obstructions / things you don't want deleted. Use the item to place the builder block. Place/spawn one ore more Miner NPCs. These npcs should begin working at the builder block shortly, constructing your building one block at a time. When finished, the builder-block will be removed, and the NPCs will return to default behavior.

So is the only thing that we are pretty much waiting for is a stable public release of 1.7 before we can use the mod for 1.7+?
Well, I am waiting on a stable / de-obfuscated release of 1.7 so that I can even begin working on updating the mod to 1.7. After that, it will likely still be at least a few weeks worth of work to get the mod updated and working for 1.7.
Currently I'm working on the major rewrites of some sections that will need to happen for 1.7, as well as splitting the mod into 'modules' that can be installed independently. So, I'm not just sitting idle waiting for 1.7 to be finished, but at the same time, I haven't even started the 'porting'/updating to 1.7 as the de-obfuscated release is not available yet.

Also, if you have auto-aim enabled (toggled w/ default C key), just ride the vehicle and look at what you want to hit--the vehicle will adjust aim automatically to find the closest trajectory it can to whatever you are looking at.
The two largest sizes of ammunition of each type are only useable in the giant trebuchet (some aren't useable anywhere, as I still need to implement the giant-cannon), all other siege engines should use the 5/10/15kg varieties.

yeah, i alr tried spamming R as much as possible,but it only increased it by a bit,auto aim,isn't exactly any better,i guess its okay but it feels fairly shorter than it was in the past...but nth i can complain about other thn that!great mod,love it

try updating forge to 9.11.1.965 the log shows you are on 9.11.1.935 I know that version works.
The block break events recently added were not in the older versions of forge .

As TechStack pointed out -- please try updating to a newer version of forge. Forge .953 through 965 should all work fine.
(I use 953 at home for my installs, and I am using 965 for dev purposes).
Some of the recently added features rely on code that was not present in earlier forge versions, apparently the FakePlayerFactory being one of them.
Also, I see that there is a list of building at the drafting table of many other buildings, but none for the castles, are those only meant to be created in creative mode? or can people gather the resources in survival to make them?
In order to add structures to the drafting table either flag them for survival when they are scanned, or edit the template and find the 'survival=false' line and change it to 'survival=true'.
Keep in mind however, that I have only flagged by default those structures that I have tested the resource list on. The resource-lists are compiled automatically when the structure is scanned, but may need some manual editing to make them work (e.g. it may list an unobtainable 'grass' block, which you may need to replace with the id for dirt). I have done some in-code correction for these IDs when compiling it, so most vanilla blocks should be handled appropriately, but I know that several mod blocks will likely still have issues.
I am very new to this mod and have only played vanilla MC, I love the idea of this mod and I have it running on my server but I am also having an issue with building the tower and keeps. Could you go into more detail in this subject. My issue is that when I go to list the scructures i dont see anything, it works great in single/creative mode but for some reason I can not figure out the survival/server, I have changed the config file to "true" but it has the same results. Is the tower supposed to be created at the drafting table first and then built? and are you suppose to be able to place the research book in the drafting table like you can in the research table? if so then I am unable to do this.
I'm not sure what structure-list you are referring to (there are several, some in items, some in crafting tables)?
In survival mode in order to create a structure you need to do the following:
Go to the drafting table, select a structure to create (no research book necessary). Hit 'start' or whatever, and start feeding it blocks until it is done. It should produce an item when finished. (this item does have a selection GUI if in creative mode, but in survival it should be locked to whatever was set from the crafting table) Take this item, find the place you want to construct it at. Clear the area of any obstructions / things you don't want deleted. Use the item to place the builder block. Place/spawn one ore more Miner NPCs. These npcs should begin working at the builder block shortly, constructing your building one block at a time. When finished, the builder-block will be removed, and the NPCs will return to default behavior.

This is not my server; the server is ran and administered by TechStack and the Project Red Dog crew. It _is_ a public server though, and I have been given permission to post the address here.
The only mod on the server is Ancient Warfare, and is updated regularly, usually within a day of new AW releases. The server is running MyTown for block protection / anti-griefing, and has a fairly extensive (and awesome) spawn area built up

Well, I am waiting on a stable / de-obfuscated release of 1.7 so that I can even begin working on updating the mod to 1.7. After that, it will likely still be at least a few weeks worth of work to get the mod updated and working for 1.7.
Currently I'm working on the major rewrites of some sections that will need to happen for 1.7, as well as splitting the mod into 'modules' that can be installed independently. So, I'm not just sitting idle waiting for 1.7 to be finished, but at the same time, I haven't even started the 'porting'/updating to 1.7 as the de-obfuscated release is not available yet.
Try adjusting the max power, or using smaller ammunition?
Max power is adjusted with the R (power/pitch up)/ F (power/pitch down) keys by default. Also, if you have auto-aim enabled (toggled w/ default C key), just ride the vehicle and look at what you want to hit--the vehicle will adjust aim automatically to find the closest trajectory it can to whatever you are looking at.
The two largest sizes of ammunition of each type are only useable in the giant trebuchet (some aren't useable anywhere, as I still need to implement the giant-cannon), all other siege engines should use the 5/10/15kg varieties.
Not anymore, no. I may do something similar in the future releases, but there is currently no tow/attach functionality.
yeah, i alr tried spamming R as much as possible,but it only increased it by a bit,auto aim,isn't exactly any better,i guess its okay but it feels fairly shorter than it was in the past...but nth i can complain about other thn that!great mod,love it
