Maybe you should, if its possible, add aether as a possible world type or somehting like that, say if someone wants to make an aether kets play they dont have to use Too Many/Not Enough Items

yeah i couldn't figure it out, i have also posted in my discussion about the api, a link to some of what is complete also a link on what each method does if anyone of you guys want to check it out, although it is not complete it is still getting there

all you have to do is edit the main screen to to show the aether as a type of world, then make it impossible to travel out of back to the over world then make a global boolean that states that you have selected that type of world so it makes it possible to travel to the nether but not to the over world even from the nether, then modify the aether to be able to spawn there, you would also have to modify some of the code to include mod items if you want, or make a aether++ option along with the aether that allows the items and some world gen to happen from the mods. although i know you don't like editing base classes but you might have to if you want the button to be able to select the world type and have it say aether, but that option is still totally up to you.
This is what has been posted on the Aether Facebook site 20 minutes ago :
"After many struggles and much waiting, we are finally close to a new updated version of Aether 1.0. Aether 2.0 is still in development, but since it has been a very long time since Aether 1.0 has been active, we are going to update the original first to Minecraft version 1.2.5. Stay tuned for more information! The update release is estimated sometime at the end of the week, but we cannot make any promises."
Hey, I still give you props for trying to update the aether because it truly is an epic mod, but I checked the aether Facebook page which someone posted on this thread and apparently a couple hours ago they posted they are still working on aether 2 and are in the process of updating the first, (not trying to be a buzz kill here, I still think you've done a great job at updating the mod, but they decided to finally do it themselves apparently)

I don't think they have said anything about aether 2 since march, I don't think they are working on it yet I think they probably will make aether 2 eventually but probably after 1.4 comes out.

I see well good but the aether has never stayed it has always come and gone
they usually update when ever a new update is about to come out
they updated to 1.0 right before 1.1 came out and now 1.3 is coming out on august 1st and now they are updating the aether soon so the aether will probably come out about a week before 1.3 comes out.
hey caleb i have the source code for generating a world type {ie superflat, normal} without editing any base classes it just adds a new world type, if you want to go with that idea i can give it to you.

mother...of...god. my god FINALLY!!! i have waited so long for this thank you thank you thank you!!! but..i really dont want to burst your bubbles but on facebook it said that they may update the ather 1 mod to 1.2.5 by the end of the week. but this is faster probaly. keep op the good work! im ganna track this thing!

Yes but I think Caleb should still release his version too (if he gets no complaint from the Aether devs) because I have a feeling that they will just make a rushed update with lots of incompabilities again which forces you, like it was before, to install 5 other mods for it to work while Caleb tries to use Forge only

This feels too good to be true. You sure this is legal? I mean, have you gotten permission from the developers?
I agree with Benie. You should have waited until the developers of the actual Aether mod gave you permission. It doesn't matter if they don't respond. You could get into big problems because of this.
i watched the preview video and the Silver dungeon was a bit glitchy. when you went through the "door" and it was just a hole. are you going to fix that?
