Nothing difficult, but why should I sign up for Twitter, just to get information updates for 1 mod. I am sure I am like many others, I have no interest in twitter, and see no need in having it.
I have a twitch account, but I have used it about twice in the last year. Twitch is for streaming game-play, not information distribution in my opinion. Twitch would be the last place I would ever look for information on something, well maybe a paper encyclopedia at the library after that.
An actual website that is maintained and updated would be a nice... the last one... well lets pretend it doesn't exist.
I am all for dev builds by the way, many authors use them, and seem to find them great for tracking down bugs or finding great player suggested improvements. Just have the disclaimer in red type 42 font that it may break world and is not recommended for server play as other mod authors do with their dev builds. I use quite a few and have not seen anymore complaining, crying about bugs/ broken worlds than a normal release thread, if anything I find less in WIP or dev build threads in most cases.

It doesn't matter if you have a neon sign, fireworks or what ever
NOT EVERYONE READS THIS BEFORE DOWNLOADING.
However, we will release it when it is ready.
Im pretty sure popularity has everything to do with it otherwise you would check in here more often to see if anyone cares about your project. But you already know because you have followers. And like a previous poster said, looking on twitter for specific information without having to sort through a bunch of conversation...not fun. I just dont get that site's popularity with you youngsters, it sucks. And I do find it useful, which is why I went through the tedium of learning and writing a custom ore generation config for it. I just didnt like how caves looked with those ores everywhere, and absolutely despised what the crystals did to my framerate. but didnt want to do without the fancy blocks and fabricator.. Also got some use out of the xychorium soil for my cactus farms.
Great Mod!
I mean... wasn't the reason behind creating this topic to allow people to use this fantastic mod?
So, can we stop being.... y'know.... Ummm... How do I put this so it doesn't make anyone feel bad...
You guys know what I mean....
(I do not wish to create/continue a very silly fight.)
Let's just review this mod and give bugs, or suggestions on the mod, not the mod author's life.
Thank you.
I suppose that being open-source would make XyCraft more prone to people copying the code, running off and using it, but that could be just me.
I'm curious, will the new XyCraft have item/fluid transport, is that not planned, or is it a secret?
Keep working on it at your pace, and when you finally release it people will probably be immensely excited! Some people just need to learn the fun of awaiting something great. And you probably have a closed group of testers for your mod, so I do not see the exact need to ask for a dev build.
Do it your way, your people will be waiting!
The goal is to maintain 2 builds. The first is the production/release build and is designed to keep the mod current for the customers (yes, Mojang's rather than yours). That takes priority whenever a new release of Minecraft/Forge breaks existing code. The other is the dev build you have now, essentially an experimental playground to play in when the production build is mod pack current and out the door. Once an item or feature from the dev build is ready for the production build then it can be brought over.
The only change other than straight port is to add Item IO-style modes to the tank valves.
1. Blue is input only. Pumping pipes do not work.
2. Orange is output only and pumps as fast as the connected pipe/block can take.
3. White (default) is bidirectional or storage. External pumping is required for pipe output. A TE3 Tesseract or AE Extra Cells Fluid Storage Bus needs to attach directly to a valve and simply work.
im gay
Since you all love complaining so much, why don't you put the time into learning how to code, then make your own mod that is similar to Xycraft... You should also try going to college to see if you would be able to handle a huge project like Xycraft on the side of college work. here's a hint: You probably couldn't, unless you're in Psychology (not to bash on people who like that, it's just probably one of the "easier" programs. then again, easiness is subjective).
Anyways, you probably won't see this but I can't wait for Xycraft to be updated Take your time and make sure it's what you want it to be before you let angry people at an incomplete version
Digital Reality Private Pack - 200+ Mods, Dedi Server
It was locked, however the author expressed their desire to have it unlocked, explaining that they ARE indeed still working on the mod, and that all new information can be found on twitter (I don't have the link) and in live streams (also don't have the link).
If you are seeking information and updates, go to those places. I don't believe the author has had a change of heart since the thread was last locked.
I ask that you all please refrain from non-constructive criticism, particularly of the development pace.
If all the information can be found on Twitter, and not here... why was thread reactivated?

Because development of the mod was not ceased.
@AleXndr: This is a lot bigger than mere impatience. Soaryn aspires to be a real Android developer with paying clients. Do you think those clients will put up with these kinds of "feature creep" delays in their projects? "Continuous delivery", or keeping a product current with the latest versions of Android or Minecraft/Forge can make or break a career. Threads like this will be scanned by potential employers to see what kind of worker Soaryn is. Polls from gamers who could sit in 1.4.7 for a while like I have until XyCraft updates are, by comparison, irrelevant. I want Soaryn to be a successful professional developer someday but that professional attitude needs to start now.
Considering I'm doing 1.7 and having rewrite major components of the mod, no, 1.6 is not viable.
I'm fairly certain being an Android dev does not imply paying clients nor do I believe when I have a full time job I will be studying full time simultaneously. You guys HAVE to keep that in mind. I am a student with limited free time. Coding every waking moment is not ideal in any scenario. Summer just started so hopefully coding will pick up momentum. We are working on it right now the IDE says 224 errors remain... however then we have to test and readd some features that were commented out.
I certainly know what you mean about the time issues when you are studying It's like you tell people "yeah, hopefully I will get more time for coding over the next couple of weeks break", but when that comes along you simply have so much more stuff do as well.
I recently updated my mods to 1.7.2, with ALMOST everything working fine as before. While I don't doubt that you can figure it out yourself, if you need a hand with any of the new Forge stuff feel free to let me know.
Soaryn I believe in you and I fully understand being in college and not being able to put full effort into the mod as well as having a life lol. good luck and have fun
