Thanks for that. That is, hmm, F***ING AWESOME. Damn, Soaryn is not only a really cool guy, he's an amazing modder as well.
From my observation, it doesn't spawn much more than other mods. It is only that they accumulate, since they have limited uses.
Actually when you get down to using them as intended there really is not quite enough of them unless you have done a *lot* of mining, the Xychorium gems that is, when you realise it takes several stacks of material to make a normalish sized floor, my main room in my inverted tower is 41x41 and with the lower floors I emptied a barrel of cobble building the tower so 64 stacks, the amount of Xychorium gems seems kinda paltry. Until you want to use them just convert to storage blocks, my full chest of the gems became 10 stacks total, 5 of storage blocks and 5 of raw gems.
Edit: the crystals however will build up since they currently have no use
It's a WIP the "tech" part of the mod is still to come there's a twitch link on the last page that has some of that shown and the wiki has some information link to wiki in OP, ethanol was mentioned before and it is apparently coming, Aluminium can be electrolysed via Gregtech from Bauxite but Xycraft Alu is not compatible currently, the schematic thing can be done with a BC builder in a fashion but it is apparently buggy atm.
I have no affiliation with anyone or anything all of the above info has been gained from a lot of reading over various forums\watching twitch vids and playing with various mods
This. This is genius.
just one thing: i think its a bit unlogical to melt space ore (xycorium) to get the ingots, can you make it to a more not so vanilla and unlogical way to get it? but in everything else, LOVE the mod.
love the new brick textures, and realy all the changes in the 1.4.6 version.
I didn't do anything but it just crashed...
When I looked through the wiki, I couldn't find anything useful. The others were, as I said, just "first impressions". As to the Buildcraft builder, I'm aware of it, but 1) it doesn't exactly move the blocks so much as replicate their positions and so far as I know, requires you to write it a script, rather than just letting it "scan" a structure, and 2) Buildcraft's got some design choices I've never felt comfortable with.
