It used to be called Vec3D in older versions of Minecraft. I was using it for vector math for a while, and added methods to it for my own purposes, but I eventually found that Minecraft keeps a pool of all created Vec3D objects, and seems to even alter them when I don't want it to. So I just created my own class, PhysVector. Even so, I occasionally needed a way to create Vec3D objects for raytracing and targeting objects, since Minecraft's code for targeting objects at times required Vec3D's. I think there are some base class edits in Minecraft.java related to this. I'll try to explain them sometime soon.
EDIT: I also really should put up my revised code. I recall revamping calls for the new Vec3 name. There are probably other examples of this. I'll see about uploading the newer versions of the code as well.

Nice, look forward to the info. And thanks about that bit about the PhysVector. It was confusing because I thought you were making making more calls to PhysVector, but more than occasionally Vec3 showed up.
I'm really going to have to buckle down and write some of my own methods. A straight port isn't all that possible. Maybe I should dive into Ships and Boats code too, to get ideas. This is a hell of a way to learn java, but it has been interesting.
And if anyone else is paying attention. It'll probably be a week or two before I go at it again. Need to actually play a while to get inspired. Of course I was just playing last night and thought, "God, I want a boat. That ocean right there would be perfect." Don't worry. We'll have boats again, but maybe not till 1.5 as Mojang is all ready busting some of that out.

Wait, lemme get this straight, your working on both PhysicsCraft AND SaB or just PhysicsCraft.?
Btw: Looks like you guys are making good progress, keep up the hard work

Good progress may be an exaggeration. But thanks for the vote of confidence.
I'm kinda working on them both. Originally Eagle_Orion and SirEntropy were going to merge the two mods. They shared characteristics and would compliment one another well. Then they both had that pesky real life take time away from modding and released their code open source. Damn generous of them if you ask me. I'm am attempting to learn java and update the two together. I started with PhysicsCraft because I liked the way Eagle has the creation of the ships better than the SirEntropy's docks. But in the end I'm probably going to integrate as much of the two together as possible.
As I say often don't hold your breathe or anything. But I'm not going to give up either.

If you think something's impossible.
You haven't tried hard enough.

Haha! No problem. It's a shame I can't help much. Although I will be around to check on progress.
I am making a guide, to building seaworthy vessels with this mod! I will post a link to the thread when I make it! Anyone who has ideas or suggestions, or better yet, things to contribute to this project of mine, (Such as strategies for large ships that sail without capsizin') Would be useful

I got a exetremly un-tip-able ship made. It started with logs at the base and wooden planks for the body of the ship. If you want to see picture's of it they are on pg.6 of this forum/thread (what is this section called?).
also im working on porting the mod to 1.4.7 of minecraft....and a simple way to do it too. (maybe, add some stuff, or make a seperate addon for industrialcraft 2) Several ideas on how to re-add stuff back to the mod without murdering the framerate. I'll post again soon.
Ok i have been working on it for a while now and i got some of the base code ( It started making sense now) and im going to start adding specailized blocks to make movement not require the ablility of telekensis....Like having a wheel that attaches to an axel so movement on land is possible. i think i'll make it so that funaces burn stuff whenever powerd by redstone and if a axle is attached then it turns the axle.
A gearbox so that axle's turn the way they need to.
Furnaces also make "Hot air blocks" that can previde lift when enough is trapped. (furnaces cannot produce "hot air" when they are surronde on all sides.)
Cannon that can be fired with redstone signal.
(industrialcraft 2 and Buildcraft addon Idea's)
When minecraft detects that you have industrialcraft/buildcraft installed it gives you several new blocks.
Thruster: can use industrialcaft fuel cans or buildcraft fuel to provide thrust in the direction it is facing.
Ion Thruster: Can use buidlcraft/industrialcraft MJ/EU to provide thrust.
Ion Cannon: Can use indsutriacraft EU to fire a short-burst laser that has the same power as a regualer cannon...but mush longer range.
NEW DIMENSIONS!!!
Space dimension: has Zero gravity and set coordinates for planet models to make solar system. Go to the planet model to enter the planet's dimension.
(regular industrialcraft jetpack can propel you forward as well as up and down.)

At the moment the mod doesn't work by itself let alone with other mods.
you simply do not read the OP or previous pages, do you? Oh and if you were my king, I would dethrone and behead you.
