Hows it coming along? When do you think it will have a download? Am I going tobe in the suggestions list or whatever it is?
And yeah the rain sound really needs to be fixed. It should be more like real life, not this constant annoying static BZZZZZZ noise..
As for the stars, there are several different colors in real life. A white yellow, like the sun is most common but theres also red blue and green.
I dont know how ur gonna make that but the white stars are the yellow white ones, so you dont need to add yellow ones.
And can u post more pictures so we can see how its going?
It would be my dream to test this mod, it's pretty awesome. Don't worry about performance, I've got a top of the line Computer. I was a beta tester for Tribes: Ascend, and I found about 20 or so bugs and they were all fixed. This is the kind of mod I love.
Just wondering but could I test the mod? It's looks really good through the pictures and would really like to see it in motion, actually being run in minecraft. So ya hit me up at gmail at [email protected] because I would really be a pleasure to test this out?
Hey, I have a channel on youtube (aldroydzito, almost 20k subs) and I really liked your mod.. I really like to test and make a review.... Do you allow me? If yes, please send me a PM, ok? I really really liked your mod, thanks in advance
I like it. It makes me consider actually using a mod besides OptiFine/TooManyItems, etc.
I'm still not gonna use it, but I actually considered it. Bravo.
Also, to change the name of the topic, edit it like normal. Except, down at the bottom, click "Use Full Editor".
Then you should be able to change the name.
I dont know how it is. Your mod doesnt do any thing but add another layer of clouds and change some particles, and make it so you die if you pause it....

NO DUDE GOD YOU SUCK! ( jk im just giving you a hard time cause i know you irl ) but anyways i would love to see this mod in action as well looks like some good work .
I like it! It sounds like it would make my game lag more than it already does, but I will defiantly give it a shot.
To be honest, it doesn't seem to lag a lot. Most of the things that are being added are more like textures changing depending on the current value. So when it rains, I make the clouds larger and darker. Or when your in a desert the clouds go away. Adding fog when it rains is simple.
So it's like an animated texture pack, that follows a certain relevance to what happens.
Or in other words, it changes the texture when I program it to.

I am very excited for this snapshot. I will run it on my jar at all times and make sure to let you know of any bugs or ideas that come to mind. Also i know you have been asked many times about beta testing but if you are ever considering opening it up and bringing in a few beta testers I would be way more than happy to do so. I love this project and all the people who work on it and i cant wait to see it grow.
Maybe you could make the night sky look kind of like http://i.imgur.com/AxPLc.jpg
or something? That would look amazing. This is actually from a texture pack..

I'm glad to see some people happy about this. I could never, ever, find a mod on the lines of this. Maybe Matmos, or maybe Better Animations, but not adding what I'm planning. Beta testing sure, but I'm afraid this isn't in Beta, or in Alpha. I'm trying to break into the weather code and correspond it with clouds. I guess I should start with easier tasks, and release something. Maybe some warmer Lightmaps, or different cloud types. The double cloud layer is still buggy. I'm mainly trying to make it right now that Textures correspond to weather. So when it rains, it overcasts. You know.

I need to do some "Indiana Jones" into the coding for what makes up the night sky and the stars. I haven't seen any texture packs changing the stars or the empty space, so I'm assuming it's a coding thing. I can't promise it, but I can surly try. To be honest, I'm not sure it's been ever done :0.

there are no green stars in the know UNIVERSE.
The universe is almost infinite so you dont know that
yeah maybe its just a light blue then im thinking bout...
well as Albert Einstein said "only two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity. and i am not quite sure about the universe."
