This mod is a series of small changes I made to Minecraft for my own personal enjoyment. My goal was to address annoyances in the game by removing or simplifying unnecessary features and letting the core mechanics shine. I have some ideas for what else I want to do with the mod, but I don't know if I will continue working on it. And I couldn't think of a good name for it.
Slightly faster mining to mitigate the grindyness of it
Some blocks are unbreakable without tools
No more tree punching! You spawn with an axe
Unpunchable: wood, stone, iron, cactus, ice, cobweb, and things made from them
Have fun, adventure map makers
Simpler food system
Each health point regenerated depletes the same amount of food
Sprinting, jumping, and other actions do not deplete food
Sprinting is more lenient about touching walls
Bunnyhop around like it's Quake
Explosions drop 100% items
Repair creeper damage on the spot!
Retrieve your stuff in the morning
Dropped items persist for 20 minutes (a full day/night cycle) before disappearing
Snowballs do damage
But only half a heart
They stack by 64, and so do other throwables
Snow golems slightly less useless
Destroying gravel with the torch trick now produces flint drops just like mining does
Wolves tame with 100% chance
Mining while in water takes less time
Wake up early enough to catch the sunrise
Never spawn in the jungle again
Remove or simplify enchantment
Remove or simplify potions
Remove or simplify dyes
Quick crafting/inventory management
A tool for building downward
Interesting ore distributions
Play with the mod a while to get used to the changes, but be careful....I lost a whole evening getting addicted to Minecraft anew once I could bunnyhop everywhere. I'm starting to think the "little annoyances" might actually be a way to stop people from playing way. too. long.
So how do you start off in Survival then? If you can't punch a tree to get planks into sticks into tools, how are you supposed to start? ^.^ Maybe make it either you spawn with set tools, or make the properties that you can break wood, but not planks.
Sounds like a nice mod, but not the kind for me. I'm not softcore unfortunately, but it's an awesome idea.

I don't intend this to be softcore, just more fun. For example, regenerating from fall damage directly consumes food, so you have to be careful with falling again. I'd like to hear about any balance issues resulting from changes being too easy.
