Pretty Much, We both are in collage and don't have a lot of time. Plus we have some side projects(unrelated to minecraft) in planning stage that we both have more interest in. Don't get me wrong we love you guys and are thankful for you support but we think its best for us to move on to new things.
If anyone would like to help out with the mod add can prove they can contribute, please PM me.
I can texture! Reason being I don't want someone to make 32x32 or 64x64 textures for the mod, and btw, I have no texturing skills so I'm basically useless but I'd love to help if there's anything else out there. I am making the server but I can't do anything without an update so I might as well do something else.
Ok so being that the mod never died there is no reason to restart it. Basicly we lost shorty and Tak and because of tak we are making a new topic. Thats it.
I would just like to clarify this statement with the same thing I said in the chat when I was confronted by this.
Hello everyone! I'm RsLeafy and I'm going to start working on this mod, continuing where Tak and the crew left off. Almost none of you know me but fear not, I have been a secret follower of this mod since the beginning. In fact, I was one of the original coders when the mod was first released. I worked on it for a month or so until me and Tak (being my friend IRL) realized we can't work on any projects together. If we did, productivity of said projects will come to a grinding halt. Therefore, I left the team so we would all stop arguing and the mod could progress.
As far as my coding experience goes, I have two mods "out"(The Virus and Random Presents for reference). I say that because they never got updated past 1.2.5. Real life happened and I had to focus more on that than coding. I love programming (currently pursuing a Computer Science degree) and always regretted falling out of the Minecraft modding community. However, this project will be the revival of, not only the mod, but in my modding hobby.
This is where your help comes in! I am by no mean up to date on everything Tak and the mod was going through. The best thing you can do is keep those suggestions and bug reports coming. I will be posting a thread in the next few days detailing my plan of revival and future updates.

Well Leafy I wish you the best of luck and may the best team win.

Seems a bit pointless.. You might as well just join the original team (minus tak and short.)

No, it's not pointless, Xen. This is the reason we released the code in the first place. You (the team) are not the only team who wants to do something with the code, nor are you entitled to the sole right of it. The code is everyone's, and they can do as they please with it.
If you want the books, and just the books, stick with Wiz and the crew. If you want something new and unrelated to the books (that will keep the "retarded" temples, by the way), go download Leaf's mod when it's ready. Or you can go and download both. I've talked to both people. Heck, I know Leaf in real life, so he's been asking me constant questions in person to make sure he gets everything right. Both teams have a solid plan in mind, at this point it's executing it, and I can't guarantee the mods will be solid at all after talking to both.
It's not a competition on who can make the better mod first. It never has been. Get that through your heads now, Wiz and Crew, because your attitudes I do not approve of as of late. Please, keep that mentality out of this thread, which will be used to discuss releases and announcements of new mods.
But then again, this is no longer my project. You don't have to listen to me anymore. I just don't like the attitudes I've been seeing out of my past team as of late. This isn't how we ran things, and you know it.
I promise you, It will be fun. I know many fans were both opposed and for the temples, but I believe I have found a happy median to satisfy both sides.

i am looking foreword to see what you have planed!
A few people have been asking me what I plan to take so I'm here to clear up any confusing or misguiding regarding the direction I am taking.
My first priority is making a run-able version of the mod for 1.6.4 and then 1.7.2 when Forge releases. After that I am going to gauge the direction the community wants to go. This is more your mod than mine and I plan to stick with that. Will I change it? Yes. Will you like every change I might make? No. But the best thing you can do is let your opinion be know. PM me, reply to me on here or the thread that I will create in a day or so, heck, even tweet me if you want. (@RsLeafy)
The cold hard truth is we can't stick to the books solely. If you want any sort of adventure in the mod other than just adding new items and dragons, it has to be this way. Think of it as before the fall of the dragons or after Eragon has brought the Riders back. There would have to be changes in the way Riders grow(or even obtain) their dragons in the years before or after Eragon's story line.
My hope is that I make a mod that is still like by the pre-existing following that the mod already has but with my own twist.

Check out my mod idea! http://www.minecraft...r-with-bending/
Well, Leafy and I have talked. The Team and I will be steering back to the book while Leafy will be going on the track already set in place.
Yes about 1 egg per ~25-100 chunks
Holy you reply fast and yes no more temples
There will be temples. Trust me. Dont listen to Miner.
More like dungeons though
