try using this seed
you spawn in a forest
if you continue going straight you will find a spider cave on the wall of a mountain
if you go backwards you'll find a village
and a bridge that spawned on the ground (which is a bug I will get to quite soon)
its probably best to use creative mode to find the structures quickly
you downloaded the mod_structures file and installed modloader 1.2.4?
then took the files out of the minecraft folder in the mod file and placed them into your minecraft.jar file?
This is just what Minecraft needs, thank you! I like how these structures fit in with the style of vanilla Minecraft.

Christianity in a nutshell: We have all sinned, so we deserve eternity in hell. But God (God the Father, God the Son, and the Holy Spirit) loved us so much he sent His Son to die for us, to take the punishment meant for us. All we need to do is accept it, and we have heaven headed our way.
I'm noticing that the chests in the spider caves are empty.
EDIT: NVM! You've already noticed that!

My Vague review: Well before I finally stopped being bothered finding these new structures I found 3 out of 5 of these things.
Spider Cave: It's alright, adds a bit of challenge and adventure to the basic worlds (Since dungeons are extremely rare) Without adding giant 20 storie castles with gold blocks and giant golem bosses and kill you in two hits, I would say to make them just a BIT Less common and I mean just a bit, but no. I refer back to what I said about dungeons. This is small, simple and overall something worth of being on vanilla.
Nether Well: Could be a bit more common... It's just a simple lava well so not much else to be said there.
Bridges: I found on bridge and it generated on normal ground, Though I don't think you can help that generation problem as, While I haven't modded before, I imagine it would be hard to make one structure generate in another without editing the first structure.
In other words Spider Cave: Good, Nether Well: Good and Bridges: Needs a bit of work, but still well done

Thanks for the C&C
So now for the spider caves, im changing them up a little, making them darker lit on the inside, aswell as randomly generated on the inside, so instead of a square room itll have a few more nooks and crannies
Also, yea i will change up thir spawn rate to be less common, because the chest inside will contain the same items as a dungeon
Yes i agree the netherwells should be more common, the thing is the way its coded to find a position is different than the others, so to increase the spawn rate would have the possibility of spawning multiple fountains inside eachother, which shouldnt be to hard of a problem to get around
As for the bridges, i just have to calculate the distance from the random point chosen and the ground height and make sure its over at least 5 or so.
Guess I'll throw in some suggestions-
Everything in the original thread, of course. And your watchtowers look... different.. maybe make them more like the other thread, where they were taller and had steps?
Graveyards, catacombs, tombs
Old castles, ruins, docks, abandoned villages etc.
Ziggurats, pyramids
I have had the idea before and thought.. it might work with your mod.. Maybe you could add rotten wood and crumbling stone blocks. That way ruins and decrepit buildings would look like they're really falling apart.
You could also add tombstones for graveyards, and coffins/sarcophagi for tombs. It would be two blocks across, and when you punch it it breaks and spawns an undead but gives a little loot maybe. They could spawn randomly underground too, in the dirt. It'd add atmosphere to the structures that are designed to look older and abandoned.
Personally my favourite part about this mod is that it adds not a sense that there are other people, but rather the opposite. That there WERE people and now there aren't. Finding a village full of people is kind of cool, but finding one that is all messed up and empty is creepy.

Yea, I was saying to add a few more blocks. I'll list them here to be more clear.
Rotten Wood- would break when punched and just look dark and wet and kinda gross. Could be used for abandoned X's.
Crumbling Stone(and bricks, sandstone, etc)- same as above, punch it and it just breaks.
Coffin(with biome variants perhaps)- twoblocks across, similar to a chest. You punch it apart and out pops an undead sometimes, and sometimes a bit of loot.
Tombstone- Basically a sign. When placed on the ground it'll look like a simple tombstone, but maybe you can place it on walls like a sign too- to look stone.
And of course there's always burned versions of wood that drop charcoal and whatnot. Maybe google "derlicht cabin" or something and just get an idea for designing old buildings that people can find the remnants of.
I think it's important to keep these structures rare, though. I'll go ahead and post my suggestions for actual structures in the main thread, and I'll try to work up some examples too. Thanks for hearing what I have to say! I'm really looking forward to seeing this mod expanded.
Right now I've got Mo' Creatures and Trees++ installed and working so when this is complete I'll have a pretty beast world to explore :3
ETA- I just found two pyramids and a village right by eachother. Any way you can make it so that sort of thing doesn't happen? A structure should be a rare find, so unless the biomes are waaaay bigger you'd have to have 1 MAX per biome.
http://smg.photobuck...v115/k3lit0/mc/ <---Here's the GY I built real quick. I added a little mausoleum too, idk. It would look better with real tombstones (eta- added a little ruined castle and a dock, just cuz. I'm sure there are ppl with more experience creating cool stuff who can improve, but for the sake of visuals there ya go. ;))
The structures are not old and mysterious as ours, but it's still good They havent credited me though.
Do not put chests in the new watchtower design. This would be op.
What pyramids are you talking about?
Keep them coming guys!
Also, can you make guis? I thought about making a gui where you can set how rare certain structures are. With maximum would be the freuency of appearance set differently to different structures.
I think I had a different mod on, maybe, I thought it was turned off but maybe not? If your mod doesn't add pyramids than disregard my previous statement lol

GUI's are hard, but not that hard. The problem is, you have to add it to the other mod code.. Its confusing, but lets just get it spawned all first
nvm you're right lol
nothing big was changed
and the code works perfectly
also adding a download link to the OP
it should work this time

and yea i'll get right on those things
also theres not much I can do about the texture pack
thanks
no, its not annoying, this is exactly what I'm looking for, some C&C
I'll get right to that
With the texturepack, if you send me the file again, ill look to see if your generation code is blocking up the modloader code some how.
EDIT: NVM! You've already noticed that!
Maybe ill just look at mobspawner code and see if i can fix it.
don't worry i got the chest items working
just basically copied the dungeon code
