Oooo love for DNW, hmmm... I suppose theres no harm in adding them if I can. I believe I'll have them function like pets. Once they die they return to either where you found them, or an alter. (prehaps dungeons will gain a 5% chance of having a core pedestal in it?)
At anyrate, it will be an expansion pack.
Is this still on? I'd love to help out in any way i can!!!
Help? I need a coder BAAAAD, a texture artist wouldn't be bad to have on board either.
I can most likely help out a bit there, i learned a bunch of coding sense this thread started. Ill pm you.
Honestly, I don't remember how they are made. I think you should have it to the point where you find the raw material for the gem, process it, then it's bland. IT adds nothing to your stats. However, mix the gem with a potion of any kind. like this:
p p p
p g p
p p p
G=Gem
P=Potion
When you equip it, the potion effect takes place forever. For instance, if you mix it with a Potion of Speed you will forever have the effect Speed 1 on you until the gem is removed. You should add a new mob, called the enchanter, and if you give him 20 diamonds he gives you a random gem. For 10 diamonds, He'll remove your current gem. However, you can't put on a new gem for 10 hours irl. And you have to play for that time. He'll also for 5 diamonds random enchant whatever item your holding. He'll live in npc villages, in a medium sized tent. And honestly, who can't forget the friggin cat people? They'll show you how many of each ore is within 100 feet up, down, and sideways of you. I think you should also add dungeons, like in the desert fire temples, in the arctic the Frost dungeon, and earth in the jungle. Should also change the ways npc villages spawn, like adding bigger houses and shops and actually talking with them.
A Tales of Symphonia Mod!
I can't wait to play with it!
I can help with crafting recipes if you want.
Like an exsphere could be an ender peral surronded by diamond or gold blocks? You would need to include for the key crest, inhibitor ore (which could only be processed by dwarves. So a dwarf mob or a dwarven furnace?) and a way to carve a charm into it...

I remember how exspheres are made, and have an idea on how to make them active.
You could have to attach them to a villager for a few days before they activate. Then, when the exsphere is removed the villager becomes a mutant. The implication could lead to Design-like "Villager Ranches" on mulitplayer servers.

good idea now we need a mod maker where ca n we get one of dem oh i know by makeing this active maybe?
I think a very good idea to add is the sorcerers ring, i think that thats a must. You could possibly set it to different modes, like fire and electricity. Also another idea is to add some Desian mobs and maybe even some boss mobs like Pronyma and Rhodyle and Ygdrassil. Just a thought
I am very excited about this mod, I wanna try to help in any ways that i can, i have never done a minecraft mod, i only really download them. I love Tales of Symphonia and ToS DOTNW and retty much every other tales game. I want to help on this mod, i could maybe build something or test out the mod or give ideas, I've played ToS already and i want to help as much as i can on this, please let me help, that would be greatly appreciated.
Got a lot accomplished, including the begins of the Derris Kharlan dimension and Gudora biome type. My goal is for the following biomes to make up Derris Kharlan
Gudora: Mana rich biome, mana plants and the unicorn can be found here.
Sedamyu: Mana starved biome, mana fragments can be mined deep below the surface. Possible location for frozen mana seeds.
Niflheim: Exposed comet surface, very cold and covered in stone and ice. Here there be Ice Wurms, and Fenrir wolves
Going to try my hand at making models for at least 5 mobs for each biome.
Ah, I'm really happy to see this being worked on again!
I'd like to help with this, but...the only things I could probably help with would be item textures and skins (example added as attachment)
Either way, I'm happy to see Tales of Symphonia getting some love! I've considered before to do something with it in MineCraft a few times, like making a map of the game, but I don't have the time do be doing that by myself, so...

Seeing as how 1.9 did some of the work for me, and mod makers have evolved a bit. This mod is officially resurrected and back in development.
